Re: SAW

After this thread, i decided to give the movie a shot. It was ok, better than your typical horror flick but by no means great or as one of my friend's put it: IT IS A "POOR MAN'S SEVEN". But at least is entertaining, and now with part two coming out, hopefully some of the loose ends from the first part will have meaning.

Re: SAW
worst movie ever... when you break it down none of it makes sense and the acting in the movie is the worst acting ever.... just a fake horror movie that ended with some unbelievable parts that made me hate the thing, a friend of mine enjoyed it though for some odd reason... not worth renting imo... cheers :Cheerz:
i have to agree that the acting in the movie is one of the worst acting ever... i believe though that its a movie worth renting and enjoying with a group of friends in order ot have lots of fun (cause it can be a funny movie:))...

Re: SAW

I saw this a few months back...I have to say its worth seeing.

It is definately a turn of the 'horror movie' table. It makes you think a bit, unlike most movies.

And its sure got a lot of gruesome scenes, gore, and all that fun stuff.

I'm lookin forward to the second one!

Re: SAW

Saw 2 licks. It's better than the first in some ways (like they actually act), but the "twist ending" is bullshit and doesn't really engage you as an audience. Clue to the filmmakers - plot twists usually have some sort of hint (like showing something relating to the ending) rather than spontaneously making shit up.

Re: SAW

The people that are saying it was bad didn't get the ending so they got fustrated and just said it was bad.

I know I will get hate remarks for this but what the hell. ;)

By the way I think Danny Glover is a good actor and he did have a point in the movie he was a detective trying to find the killer duh!! lol

Re: SAW

I was disappointed with the 2nd movie. It really wasn't much different from the 1st movie and the ending was definitely predictable for this one. There should've been more dialogue between the Jigsaw Killer and the crooked cop I thought. They should've gone into the Jigsaw Killers background a little more like how he has the knowledge to do everything he does. Instead they just change some things and called it a sequel. Wait for a rental on this one if you haven't seen it already.

Re: SAW

I have heard good and bad things about the sequel so far, I will check it out regardless to see for myself...

I have to say though, hearing that the ending is predictable makes me doubt that I'll like it..

Re: SAW

I just watched the first one an hour ago... I'd rank it a 3 or 4 out of 10. The ending was definitely the best part. second best part was realizing halfway through that the doctor was the same dude from The Princess Bride.

Re: SAW

Horrible acting, not soo great directing, but a awesome story. But still some points during the film i find my self laughing. The box for the dvd is pretty awesome though.

Re: SAW

I have to admit, I 'saw' this one last week and liked it... kinda reminded me of Seven a few years ago... will definitely check out SAW 2...

I would say this movie is very underestimated... If you like thrillers like seven, check this one out... It may not be suck a blockbuster but I really liked SAW...and I didn't predict the ending :)

but I just watched it without reading all kinds of stuff in advance...

Re: SAW

saw it, liked it- the acting is a lot better in the second one, with more twists

Re: SAW

I watched Saw the other day and have to say i thought it was a great film. The twist at the end is the best twist i have seen since The usual suspects and the last 20 mins or so i couldnt move from my chair it was so gripping. You knew something was coming at the end cos it just seemed too easy but i had no idea what.

The build up was a bit slow but the way you were introduced to the characters was well done and though the constant flash backs got a bit annoying it helped the build up. In a way Danny Glover just reprised his Lethal weapon "grizzled cop" routine but it didnt detract from the movie at all and i definitely want to see the sequel now.

I give this 8/10 and recommend it highly

Re: SAW

I heard that SAW 2 originally was a movie that had nothing to do with SAW 1, but since they didn't have enough money to produce or promote it properly, the producers of SAW 1 asked them to adjust the script a little so that it would be a sequel to SAW 1 and they could use the title SAW 2... is this correct?

Re: SAW

The acting was sooo bad in 1 i dont know if i can bring myself to watch 2.

I dont know if is like that, but all I can say is that SAW > SAW 2
