hmm i am hesitatant to buy it.. sounds like cd 1 is exceptional but there is a few flaws with disk 2. i would like to hear bits b4 i am willing to take a chance. i am not too familiar with his music.

Got it yesterday, only listened to CD2 and first half of CD1 so far.

First impressions? Not too impressed if I'm honest. At the minute I can't recall a moment where I have said 'Yes, tune, need to play that again'. Seems a little 'arty' at the moment. Was really surprised to see that about 90% of the music is Henry's own stuff.

However I wll give it at least 3 listens over the next week on my commute to see if my opinion changes.

It's not terrible' just not 'amazing' yet.

I purchased from JB Hifi online on Tuesday... and it still has not been shipped! I followed up and they said I should receive it sometime next week, but they can't guarantee it. Checked site again and it says "awaiting stock". I swear I don't remember seeing that.

I had the worst experience ever with JB online ! Started out like you, went on for six weeks with them claiming no stock, even though I had spoken to Balance [EQ/stomp as it was then ] and they had plenty of stock. I had paid with a gift voucher. And i really had to fight for a refund. Absolutely the worst buying experience ever.!!!!!! :evil: It was SOS Balance, I figured out later that they just don't want to order in unless they have a substantial order. That's not likely happen with a small Aussie company.

Have they taken your money yet? Most don't until they ship. If they haven't, cancel as fast as you can. Balance are shipping in a couple of days. It's worth waiting till you can hear it in the best way possible. As of yesterday JB hadn't ordered so I doubt you will get it next week either. Check out the thread in the prog forum on ITM

This is only what I would do, I would get it the fastest way possible which is either Profile or Balance. Then hassle JB for money back . Or hassle first whichever :lol: Or as someone in that thread suggested, enjoy the anticipation :D

They really shouldn't have taken your money, I ordered mine from HMV ages ago, it came out of my account 2 days after I got the shipping notice .

Ordered from hmv.co.uk about 6 weeks ago. Arrived on day of release (Monday just gone). Money taken same day.

Listened to cd one so far, and i know it's a cliche, but this is a real journey.

@ chuckc, I will definitely put up a review when I get it. Quite a few people have got it already and it has had some rave reviews from pretty hard nosed people. Hope my expectations aren't too high . :D

So far I'm digging CD 1, need to listen to it a few more times. Only 5 tracks in on CD 2 and so far I'm not too impressed, I don't really dig on those "frilly" rifts. I shouldn't make any assumptions though, I need to listen to the rest of it. I'm sure this release is a grower.

Frustrating it is, I need to listen to both discs again. The little rifts that seem to sit on top of some of the tracks just aren't sounds that I want to hear.

I have listened to the whole thing a few times now.

CD1 is a non-entity for me. Nothing on there that I liked too much, or would be in a hurry to return to.

CD2 is better, but the first 3 tracks are again nothing for me. Especially track 1, which I really dont like - and its over 8 minutes long! After track 3 things get better up until 11, where it tails off again. Tracks 14 and 15 are then really good.

Overall - a disappointment for me. 5 out of 10

wow. very glad i waited to hear some reviews before purchasing. i def wont be buying this one as i tend to be rather picky with sets. highly doubt it would please me if its not pleasing most on ms.

I think about 85% of the release is Henry's own stuff or his mates, so if you are not a massive fan of him then I'd say avoid.

Disagree on the Lamur comment. The original of that track is one of my all-time favourite tracks, and his remix did nothing for me.

Kind of agree with this... Though i think it's well programmed and the whole thing is solid stuff.. Wasn't expecting more to be honest
