Huge Digweed, Sasha, Warren, Zabiela - you name it - fan here just wanting to express my deep appreciation of Nick Warren & his mixes.

Digweed might take you to that other place, Sasha might bend your mind around itself on his best nights, but Nick Warren I feel is always throwing out some of the best musical journeys I've ever gotten myself into.

From his GUs to his monthly mixes to every live set i've ever heard him throw down - my hat's off to him.

This was all sparked from giving his 3hr mix : nick_warren_-_club_xs_25-09-2010

I really hope after all this it was labeled correctly :what

Gotta agree with you on this one. One of my favorite gigs ever if not number 1, has to be the GU LIMA party, never had such a good time in my life ^_^

one of my favourite sets ever... have kept it with me since it came out. I have about 20 sets/albums that never leave my side. Reykjavik and Lima are there as well.

i'm not saying he's crap. just i prefer other dj's. i find his mixes somewhat bland and without character.

^^very good mix for sure... There were a few mixes I remember back in like 2008/2009 that were TOP, does anyone know which mixes I may be referring to? My hardrive crashed about and year ago, and with it went my stuff from '08-'09.

His sets didn't have the ebb and flo I like just flat out all the time, and I've come to hate that little drum machine thing. :lol: Having said that I definitely go to all his gigs. :D Too much good history to risk missing out :D

Perhaps some Hairy Foreskin is more up your alley? ;) Granted, Nick Warren is also hit and miss for me but WOW as a whole (and especially Jody) hit the mark more often than not.

I think he has been different to Sasha & Digweed. I think he has always been more about playing great tracks and not about layering sounds on each other.

and he does what some of my other favorite dj's rarely do - bang it the fuck out for more than just two tracks at the end of the night.

i would often quip to a good friend of mine that i wish anthony pappa would steal nick warrens record box... lol
