Alright kiddies, I guess I'll show my age now...if you must talk about genre's (again), then let me school you on what electro is/was.
Steady mate, you rate yourself some kind of musical-oracle or something?
Sorry for coming off like that, by no means am I a musical oracle...I'm sure many of you are more knowledgable about other styles than myself...I guess the term "school" was a bit inappopriate...It's sort of like hearing some of these commercial tracks that have been remade (i.e. No Doubt's remake of Talk Talk's "It's My Life") and people thinking that it's new...I just wanted to try to educate those that didn't know where electro came from..that's all...I'll try not to come off so arrogant next time...cheers mate...
^^^i understand you dude, sorry if i was bit harsh

not all birds fly
yea that is some electro. :) but i do believe you have forgotten some very special artists... (or maybe you mentioned and i missed them).
a few everyone should know about.
jonzun crew. cybotron. u.t.f.o.
some other electro from the early 90's like vex, and some others still stand the test of time. plus a lot of newer stuff like claro intelecto, etc. is good shizzle.
not all birds fly
i think when it comes to felix. his stuff is mostly cheese electro house. and to my ears not all that interesting. I'll stick to Ingrosso, Angello, Prydz, Mylo, Axwell, Farlow, Anthony. And myself.

Re: when too much electro is too much
You cant classify electro, progressive house, minimal, etc. Your version of electro might suck balls but my version is a combination of a sweet bassline, good melody and a spot on drums. I am big fan of the way music is heading right now, luke fair, desyn masiello, danny howells all play a form of electro that is hard to find and thats why they are playing around the world while we are trying to figure out what genre is good and what is bad.
Keep the beats comin

Re: when too much electro is too much
Sorry I have to disagree with the haters, and agree with the true fans of HOUSE music. I'm not a one style kind of fan or dj. But in order to true feel what is going on in this genre you have to embrace all of it! You can like a style of it more than others but you shouldn't knock it just cause it doesn't touch you! I like electro! Maybe not all the time, but I don't mind turning records (VINYL, not cdr I'm old school), for a few hours and hearing an hour or two of it. I don't consider music to be rock,R/B, Progressive, Acid, I Just look at it all as MUSIC!
