Nils Noah is the case in point. There is no flow what so ever to this set. No melody.
Just my opinion though. I hope this electro fad dies soon. There is some really really good stuff out now but most of it is crap.

i really wish people knew what real electro was, so they'd stop labelling any analog sound, Electro.

Well whatever you want it to call it, I hate it. :D
Hate to say this, but I saw Luke Fair open up for Sasha in Boston last June, and I was astounded by how much electro he played. Ive heard quite a few of Lukes sets, and usually he hits it right on. But that night, it just wasnt there. However, I do like the way Andrew Weatherall can pull it off. He has a tight sound that can make for a nasty night.
Any electro, is too much electro... :D Of course, that's just my oppinion.

one of my friends only plays electro...its really cool ...but then again breaks are not necesarilly my thing
are these guys talking about electro house..isn't that kinda like acid house someone enlighten me
ohh shit, he's back!!! there goes the board now.
electro of today is kinda like acid house was back then. but acid house was still almost all 4X4. A lot of electro is breaky and with weird drum samples that don't sound too good. IMO.
Re: when too much electro is too much
and so it begins...
ouch.

I'm never was really a fan of the electro sound so I got really bored of the John Digweed shows where he played a lot of tracks with those elemental aspects in them, in many of the shows of 2004

mm yea..
i wish people knew more about electro too.
this electro house stuff isn't particularly 'electro'. elements ya. but not the full on.

It's all trance to me.
When I started listening to electronic music years ago, I started off listening to electro. What I mean by electro is Ectomorph, Aux 88 etc... In fact I think I still have those records around here somewhere...
^someone who knows wtf is up.
Re: when too much electro is too much
So where is Asshat Che? I have a song I want him to hear. It's not some faggot trance so it's gotta be electro. :ROFLMAO:
if you want real elektro, listen to felix da housecat or dj tiga. now thats real elektro, lee burridge isnt real elektro. he is just playing to the fad, dont get me wrong i love lee burridge bak when he was breaking with craig richard, then he "progressed", now hez elektroing. should let the real elektro djs do the elektroing :)

electro (or whatever you wanna call it) is taking prog house to cheezland just like how trance became a cheezfest after 99-00. ugh. enough already.
i will go for the 'oh man' with you chemical beavis.

Re: when too much electro is too much
Alright kiddies, I guess I'll show my age now...if you must talk about genre's (again), then let me school you on what electro is/was....Electro actually emerged in the early 80's, that's right, the 80's....groups like Afrika Bambaata and Soul Sonic Force, Herbie Hancock, Newcleus (Jam On It), Mantronix, Twilight 22 (Electric Kingdom), Hashim (Al Naafiysh), etc....those are the pioneers of the original, actual, factual genre known as E L E C T R O!!! Now this sound being wielded by the likes of Sasha, Diggers, Lawler, Felix da Housecat, etc..., is still house music with electro influences...IT ABSOLUTELY MAKES ME CRINGE!!! I CAN'T STAND IT!!! PLEASE TURN IT THE F#%K OFF!!! Whew, now that I got that off my chest, I'm gonna go put on some good 'ol fashioned proggydeephouseyjazzifiedtechno tribalbassandhihatswithsomeflowingsynthyambientsoundscapes....gotta love it!!! :BangHead:

Guess I'm still in cheezland. I listen to psytrance every chance I get.. spacemen, decepticons, funklab, jackal & hyde, dynamix II... whatever I can get my grubby hands on. Everynow and then I get satisfaction from raping my girlfriend with elektrik powertools. I had 'em hooked up to my portable generator out in the garage, unfortunately we forgot to use proper ventilation and everything got really slow. We really like the bright orange variable speed demolition hammer, matches my jumpsuit swell.

look gokada... what makes music great is that it is in constant evolution. it is perfectly normal that genres will mix to make newer genres. if you are against this evolution that means you are gettin old.
Did anyone listen to dj three's set from kiss on saturday - that had 'electro' elements in it,and i didnt enjoy it at all,i was really disappointed,as three's sets are usually pretty special

I know, you're right, I am getting old...music should evolve, that's what keeps it exciting...and to each his own...I'll admit it..I'm a snob when it comes to music...no one has to like every new sound that comes out though....it's just my own personal taste, that's all...

Steady mate, you rate yourself some kind of musical-oracle or something?
^wether he's coming off as a self rated oracle or not, he's got a decent grip on electro.
its not hip-hop, its electrooooo
