Who likes to eat sushi? Drink lots of Sake? What do you like to eat? I have enjoyed the eel with avocado roll, and the spicy salmon roll is the bomb. They had so many more choices when I was in Cali. It feels like a sushi night.

Sushi.....
I love Sushi
spicy california rolls, I'll second that eel avocado but my peresonal favorite are spicy shrimp tempura rolls
and sake, well that goes without saying, prefer it hot, but cold will do if the sake isn't a cheap one.
I prefer it hot as well. I am not too familiar with the different types of sake, but I know that there are plenty. The shrimp tempura roll is tasty, as well as the asparagus tempura roll. Have you ever tried Octupus?
love octupus, but it seriously has to be fresh otherwise it's rubbery and really really sucks
Scott Puig likes Sushi. He eats it together with Jimmy Van M and the other boys of Balance Recordings. :Naughty:

Sushi is good. I pretty much like most sushi. The spicy Cali rolls are good. Sushi with saki is the best.

Re: Sushi.....
if you like good sake, don't drink the subpar shit they serve in just about every sushi bar. go to a japanese market and look for a brand called Horin (it ain't cheap, but some of the best quality). btw, good sake is meant to be drank cold.

Yeah, I know what your talking about. I think it's at Amura's...not Ichiban. The Amura's on Dr. Phillips is cool...it has a South Beach fly feel to it...

Re: Sushi.....
I am telling you guys the best sushi places are here in Maryland, any freaking place you go to is better then the previous one, I go to one restaurant on Rockville Pike they freaking have unbelievable Sushi, their special is Ocean Roll (avocado, cream cheese, salmon and some other shit) also they have spicy scallop which is great. I think Sapporo beer is much better with sushi then any sake.
my fav right now is the vocano role shrip temp, w/ spicy tuna
ichiban beer is good too with raw fish..
Re: Sushi.....
There's a roll I like that's called the Philadelphia roll I think. It has smoked salmon and cream cheese in it, and it tastes just like a bagel w/ those same things on it :)
rainbow rolls for me, or spicy tuna rolls
sake sucks tho

Joe! There is this place in Waltham (can't remember the name) but they have the best dragon roll that is a spicy salmon rolled with eel and avocado. Its da bomb. We have to do pregame there one night.
Yummy....mouth watering!

Next time you are NTC, stop by Aki and try the avocado eel and banana spicy tuna.... top-notch Japanese-Jamaican junction
Re: Sushi.....
Oh yes, big fan of the Fatty Tuna, SS, Volcano, and Spicy Tuna rolls. And about anything tempura, Jamaican (with mango, yum), or strawberries, kiwi and ponzu.
Not the biggest fan of sake or plum wine, but I like my sake cold. For beer... Asahi any day of the week, Ichiban - especially Ichiban Malt is NAST-e. What you thinking.. its an Anheuser (Butt-weiser) product.
Mooshi Mooshi!!!

that sounds tasty. I have been to a bunch of places in Durham. I will have to stop by when I visit next month. I just came back from Misono. A very good place in Boston. I had some salmon, an eel avocado roll, and a salmon and cucumber roll. The miso soup was very good. time to get some sleep and get to the dancefloor. thanks
Re: Sushi.....
Sushi, sushi, sushi. i haven't had it in ages but if I could afford to, I would eat nothing but sushi. I have heard that almost allof the east coast U.S sushi restaurants use the same 3-4 wholesalers for their fish!!!! Seems hard to believe. Sushiko is Georgetown is one of the best period.

I love the Simpson's episode where they all go out for sushi and Homer eats the blowfish and ends up in the hospital.
btw...i love sushi too. the sake buzz makes me feel invinsible. it's the best to get drunk on. toats.
Never had it I doubt the way things are going that I ever will.

If someone stumble over Takoyaki...try it, it's delicious. It looks like a golfball. It's dough, some spices and a piece octopus inside. Served with Sojasauce and dryed slashed seaweed. hmmmmm...yummy.
It's not Sushi, so it's maybe hard to find.
@Danil
It's called Wasabi.
Peruvian Sushi is one of the best in the world (top 5) and it's kinna cheap aswell. 8)
Thanks to the power of suggestion I had to order some sushi last night from Avenue A Sushi here in good ole nyc. My order:
Miso soup edamame salad with ginger dressing spicy shrimp tempura roll spicy california roll eel avocado
Mmmmm, sushi.............
Thanks! :D
nothing clears a stuffy nose like miso soup
We dont get sushi round these parts, only fish n` chips and Yorkshire pudding.
not too long ago i had eel in a laquer box... that was absolutely phenomenal! if you ever see it anywhere, definitely try it!
I've always seen eel on sushi bars and menus, but never tried it yet. seems a lot of people like it, might have to give it a go
Re: Sushi.....
