i just listened to hernan's renaissance vol 2 today for the first time... they were ok. i've heard almost all of those songs before and a long time ago too. i only heard a couple songs that really made me groove. that nick muir song was really good, but overall i think the metrodance shows are better than this album. at least his metrodances normally have an abundance of fresh new tunes.

Re: Hernan Cattaneo-Renaissance the Master Series Vol.2

Just bought mine last night and listened to both disks. Disk one was pretty good. It did not hook me right away but after the second listen it is starting to catch on.

Now disk two is awesome. Not a bad tune on disk two. ONe after another of just quality track after quality track. I was definatly impressed with this comp. Hernan is proving why he is becoming the best dj in the business. I definatly recommend this comp. to anyone who loves prog and break beat....go out an support the best dj in the world!!!

hey man, he played several songs that he played on that live at womb set back in 4-14-2004. why don't YOU get your facts straight, then we'll talk. just because some of the songs may have been released a month ago, doesn't mean we haven't all heard them before.

#365222Post 49 of 63

does it really matter when and if you have heard them? if it is a good track it is a good track

#365224Post 50 of 63

^ i agree. i'm just saying, i like it more when i hear a release with songs that are good that i have never heard before. i'll listen to it more when i have a fresh set of tunes.

#365228Post 51 of 63

^^^ i understand that.. you do expect these top jocks to have brand new stuff.

#365231Post 52 of 63

i got a question though... do management companies of the artists that go on these big releases have anything to do with what goes on the release? for example, producer x's management pays renaissance label to have producer x's song mixed into hernan's release? i'm sure that happens.

#365232Post 53 of 63

thats funny you say that, i was thinking something similar, like maybe if a track is still hot on the "club circuit", the lable wont let it go on a comp cd...

Re: Hernan Cattaneo-Renaissance the Master Series Vol.2

I heard some of the songs on rennaissance but most were new to me...I thought he did a wonderful job programming the set.

HI,

I think the new album is great! And the album has a hungarian track !!!04. Snake Sedrick - Fields (Blue Haze mix).

Snake Sedrick is a hungarian dj and he makes good music.
Quivver - Space Manoeuvres part 3(Pole Folder rmx)

this looks interesting 8)
This track is great and the next one (graham and blades - funky soma) takes you to the surface just to catch some air before deep diving again... I just miss Somnuscorp - Sistema de Fe between them. I really love Sistema de Fe. He recently played that sequence on JD's kiss100 as well as on his presentation here in Panama last Thursday. I wonder why somnus wasn't included on this compilation as he has also been charting their tracks a lot. :?

BTW, last Thursday here. OMG What a night!! he just popped my brains out. also, we couldn't pick a best night for my girl's first pill :P Hernan is just amazing... just as the argentinians say 6th=1st!!!

Well Put. The second CD has me locked in, you can't just listen to any track on CD2 you have to listen to it from beginning to end to get the whole vibe he has put together with those tracks. Well crafted in my opinion. :RightOn: :RightOn: :Respect:

#370298Post 63 of 63

too many cheesy vocals!!!

i much prefer the jonathan isle mix--that one has more personality. this just sounds like smooth progressive on autopilot.
