hopefully this one will be little more upbeat than the last one. The last was good at first but got boring really fast. Probably one of my least favorite hernan cds. Just my opinion though.

#338146Post 4 of 63

Me not being a trainspotter in any way, can someone tell me why the track list looks amazing? Surely if this is a new cd then why are the tracks, tracks you`ve heard before? This may sound like a dumb question so i apologise in advance for lack of tuneage knowledge.

#338153Post 5 of 63

Like I said before... His "Funky Deep 'n' Tribal" album was his best so far...

To me it looks look like it could be good. 16b, Maxine Vegas, Randall Jones, Page, Dousk, and Howell are all pretty consistent producers. The "Sidewinder" Original Mix is really, really good so I'm interested in hearing the Hiratzka remix.

#338167Post 7 of 63

Ahh, so we are going by whom the tracks were made by and not the actuall tracks themselves?

#338173Post 8 of 63

I loveeeeeeeeeeed that more mellow sound on the last cd - I hope this keeps the same vibe!

#338177Post 9 of 63

That's what I'd say. Of all the tracks on this compilation I've heard about 5, so I'm going by producers.

#338221Post 10 of 63

I can't wait to hear it either... :D I feel honored to be included with such esteemed company, the tracklist looks amazing, and from what the Renaissance people tell me the CD is incredible!

Respect,

Mike

Re: Hernan Cattaneo-Renaissance the Master Series Vol.2

The reason I used "amazing" as others have mentioned is the album contains such a collection of good producers and tracks. Yes, they are tracks we've all already heard, but there good tracks and plus, how the compilation is put together looks good as well. Can't wait to hear it. :D

#338269Post 14 of 63

this tracklisting suprises me, i expected it to be a bit more...uhhhh...upfront?

#338512Post 15 of 63

Quivver - Space Manoeuvres part 3(Pole Folder rmx)

The last two times I have heard Hernan he has been outstanding, I hope the CD is a true reflection of his talent...

#338781Post 19 of 63

As if half of you have heard half the tracks on there. Granted there are a few current or older ones, but theres plenty of brand spanking new ones.

#362678Post 20 of 63

2CDs released. Enjoying it right now :Naughty:

#362737Post 21 of 63

why is it if a song isn't brand new on a compilation or unreleased, some people get so bent out of shape. music snobs, lol if a track is good, it is good regardless. a lot of it is how the tracks are put together.

give 5 dj's 20 records, you will have 5 different interpretations of those records.

#362774Post 22 of 63

You should agree that pleasure of track you've never heard before couldn't be compared with that you've known.

#362780Post 23 of 63

derek howell - happy to be sad has become my fav track so far :)

#362781Post 24 of 63
why is it if a song isn't brand new on a compilation or unreleased, some people get so bent out of shape.
I've wondered the same thing myself. In this day and age we have music virutally at our fingertips. If I want to listen to a particular track I can dig up any number of sets that have that track and listen to it. If you're one that downloads tracks, you can listen to them that way as well. It would be next to impossible to make a compilation with all unreleased material unless it's an artist album or you're Digweed. Just sit back, relax, and enjoy what you're listening to. If you don't like it then turn it off.

HOW OLD ARE YOU that on a electronic music board you talk shit about something with the excuse of..... classifying it's genre ... and then... oh yeah, nothing else.

I'm still rather new on this board, but JESUS CHRIST you are negative in forums that you have no interest in being a part of other than to shoot people down for talking about something they love. I think almost everyone on this board can agree that there is plenty of fun to be had by making up retarded posts and threads about just anything. If you are using the board as a way to be a bully or to get attention that's just sad.

Convince anyone on here that house music is "as a fact" bad, go ahead. It'll be easy probably, because as we all know..

People never get passionate about one genre but can't stand another.... and music isn't at all personal, just by chance I bumped into a few other people on this board and we all secretly like that really bad kind of music, and we can't seem to find anywhere else to go talk about it or listen to it. People are always standing OUTSIDE of the big clubs because they probably dont want to go in and have to hear that crap.

OK, that felt good to get out.... it was pretty easy since I'm not an asshole, and my only goal from this post is to encourage any debate or conflict in ideas to be handled with repsect and perhaps honesty. I honestly hate hip hop music. Is it bad? For me yes... thats as far as I can take it...

Now go dance!!!!
