Messi was the best player on Argentina... We all are still proud of him and his skills... Youre right, maybe in 2014..... Dont forget he is nearly 23 years old, a few less than Maradona in Spain 82 WC.. You know what happened with Diego four years later in Mexico 86....He has all the time in the world, and at least 2 more WC, to prove is he one of the greatest and IMO, he already is... ;)

he is a great player and yes the best player on Argentina, though that's not saying a lot after today's performance. I'm not and never have said anything to the contrary.. I just get sick and tired of the media hyping up these young players to unrealistic expectations that's all.. potential means nothing if you don't live up to it.. he has a lot of football left of course, as do a lot of other potential "worlds greatest" but so far on two of the biggest stages (champions league and world cup) he's fallen a bit short.. he is a lot of fun to watch

With Villa on the pitch, most certainly, hopefully Del Bosque sits Torres who has been ridiculously un-Torres-like this tournament, and is looking far from fit, and replaces him with Fabregas in the starting XI

Spain v Germany will be an epic battle I think Holland v Uruguay will be a slug fest imo

I really don't think any true England football fans would seek revenge on Germany, they were clearly better. 4 goals against 3 international sides is an amazing feat on this level..I'm rooting for Germany against Spain.. hoping for a German v Holland final, in which I'd like to see the Dutch win, but either way should be a great match

The problem with English fans is the expect so much but give nothing in return. They have a cool to be lazy attitude but expect determination to get the task completed attitude from the football team. Patriotism does nothing but teach people how to hate people they have never met and take pride in accomplishments they had no part of. Its like that 2 World Wars & 1 World Cup shite they like to spout out. Clearly fucking morons. You only have to go to Germany to realise we won nothing. I remember when I was working for John Burton Race we went to the Gastronomic Olympics in Spain, he came joint first with France, but we didn’t win because he was English we won because he was himself determined, ambitious and a fucking genius. Nothing to do with some intrinsic character traits that he never had and certainly nothing to do with being English. If he followed the English path he would be flipping burgers at Burger King.

Argentina was beat by a great team the same way england was , Rooney was idolized as much a Messi pre-World Cup and even though messi didnt even get to %50 of what he is capable of , did you see Rooney play ??? I never saw him ... did he stay in london or something???

Happy you find consolation on a goal . that will probably lift the moral of your team everytime you compare to Argentina though if you really wnt to compare to Argentina you should look at how many tournanments your team has won and how many finals have you guys played . :D

Rooney has never been lauded as the next best that ever played, why you're bringing that up I'm not sure, I've been very vocal regarding the England players...Rooney and Messi both clearly under performed as did a few more of the pre tournament heroes in the making, which is what's making this World Cup so much fin to watch and unpredictable. Well as far as your wizard of knowledge comment, lmao, when am I supposed to comment on things? I never said I know everything, I also never said anything bad about the south american region, they're fun to watch for the most part.. I'm from Europe so therefore that's the region I'm rooting for, is there a problem with that?

I don't care how long Suarez is out for... in a split second decision who knows what any of us would do, it's just my opinion that looking at it from a fan stand point, I don't agree with the play.. is it cheating, no, and I may have said after the play and that's harsh.. I still think a 1 match ban is a bit light for the incident and a straight red that's all.. but good on him, hopefully they' get a 3rd place medal. I don't see it any different from Henry against Ireland or Maradona's hand of god.. at the end of the day I feel more for the Ghana players, and you can say he got a penalty and they still had a chance in the shoot out, but point is, it should never have come to that, they had the game won that's all. And I'm sure if something like this happened to the country or team you support, you'd have a different outlook on it :)

oh and my goal (well we scored 2) comment was sarcastic, lol, I take no comfort in anything about England in this world cup, other than it wasn't the managers fault for the most part, and hopefully he can sort things out for Euro 2012
