I can't imagine a 500 kmh wave approaching me. Imagine being at the verge of being hit by a tsunami, probably really cool looking, but then at the same time, you know you are done for. My heart goes out to the families of the surrounding countries that have lost their loved ones. 8.9 is pretty huge on the richter scale, and we can only pray that the death toll will not increase.

there are some serious damage out there, sad to know that thousands of people died, thousands of people lost everything and probably a familiar or friends.. this is sad.. truely sad :( Im becoming concerned about these earthquakes lately, there are some in the last 3 or 4 years.. they are killing a great part of the humanity, If some of these one day hit Portugal.. specially Lisbon we would get some bad threatning.

You can't really see a tsunami when it's on open sea, because then it's a wave maybe a little bigger than the other ones, but the shallower the water gets, the higher it rises, and then it becomes that wall of water.

This is so fucked up for the people out there, it's Christmas too! It's gonna take a long, long time for those people and regions to recover from this...
