well like I said, I HAVE considered those who have other obligations and monetary limitations (much like myself especially if I considering hosting shit all over the fookin world).

So here goes... since a SIZEable population on here is in the states.... it makes is ONLY FAIR to host one in the states... would I do it on the eastern shores..... more than likely cause it helps me save money on flight tickets ..... money that I could spend on the event..... do I wanna host it at the WMC ?? possibly not ?? I have too long a list of reasons.... but the biggest one for me is that I dont wanna prositute this event..... it's gonna be [ms]'s FIRST EVER get together and I wanna make it exclusive.... just like access to the downloads page or even more difficult like getting your show ONTO it.....

so if we / I cannot get this event to become a money generating event.... we just convert it into a small get together at a local lounge (of which I would be more than happy to rent out as much as I can) or even pay for renting out the whole place so that we can get talent from on the forums to play on here and we fucking host that shit for 3 weeks straight.....

now in light of how obsessed I have been with the UK scene (esp since it's the homeland of Diggz) I DEFO wanna get some action going there too...... and the UK population on the forums is the second highest so it would only make more sense.....as for commercial versus a private event.... same rules from UK apply, I would be willing to fork over some dosh in order to get the event going if it has to be private (donations would be accepted :lol: )

with that said... jibby get out of the fucking ice age and get yourself a fucking passport dude....

Multiple smaller events spread out over the year are an option too? Or maybe this an idea for later on, if the first one has proven successful. But that way you can organise some smaller ones, and have them all around the globe. The creditcard-diehards can fly anywehere, an the not-so-rich members will have a go in their vicinity a least once...

well... I live in the DR (Dominican Republic) and i'd be willing to fly to the states for a MS event, hell yeah, we have the Guacara Taina here, its an undergournd cave capable of taking more than 1000 people... though this is not an option, too far away from everyone.

If I wasnt already scheduled to be in Mexico/South America for the New Year! I won't be back 'till Jan. 10th. The next big event I will be looking forward to is WMC. I would love a trip to the UK, but I'll be saving those frequent flyer miles for the summer journey!

So concider this my Christmas Eve farewell, I leave tonight and won't be back on for a few weeks. I'll be all geared up for WMC when I get back. I would at least like to help the planning of a small scale [MS] gathering in FL or somewhere within a 500mile radius while you wankers have your UK gig! Guys... I think you should come to Argentina. That would be a lot cheaper, as one Euro is like 4 pesos (national currency) here. You could do some great stuff with little money...

Call me crazy... but this is by far the biggest, and best organised Digweed "fan club" sort of site. Now with enough planning, far enough ahead, he may well be willing to do a private gig especially for [ms] as a thankyou.

He recently did a gig for no pay here in Australia as a friendly thankyou for one of our promoters. (Obviously all expenses paid - but still...)

You just never know. :)

airfare is not all that expensive, plus we could have our MS friends that live over there show us what's up!

wmc makes the most sense atm....as for promotion, there are enough pro dj's that can spread the word if they want to (fair, digs, kosmas, etc...) and instead of asking them to play for us, why don't WE just play for them, given that they may come. If those top dj's come, don't ask them to spin, let them hang out and enjoy themselves with us while we spin for them. Personally, I think this ms event should be our own talent without saturating it with the professional talent. Show the world what ms has to offer...

I think this idea is a real go-er.

If we could get a spot at WMC or a tent at a European festival then if we pitched it right we could have the services of at lest four A list DJ's. I've sure anyone from Danny H to John Digweed would glad spin for us if approached. Also need somewhere with some liberal attitudes, so my vote would deffo go with the the 'Dam. Easy for the UK and europe peeps, and a Treat for our yankie cousins. :Naughty:

I drove 6 hours to go to a party in Des Moines a few years ago.. it was in an old stripped slaughterhouse, way out in the middle of some dude's ranch. The dj booth was inside the slaughterhouse in a grain silo that was tipped on its side, turned into an airplane with crazy wings & shit. Pimpin. It might win my "most secluded party" award.

I drove to a party in South Dakota few years ago that probably gets second place... that place sucks. I recommend staying far from Souix Falls, or anywhere near South Dakota. :lol:

How 'bout Winconsin! I know Iowa and its no different than Missouri, Illinois, Kansas and Ohio.. fuck you mioght as well drive to Chicago. Wisconsin seems different, but Kenosha is cool and there is usually a nice country club somewhere in the middle of nowhere that will make for a nice size venue. But seriously we should be thinking about a central location eazy for all of us to get to.

id probably would not make it but... i think that the US is a good choice cause lots of members are US citizens and also hotels, booze, food and other expenses are cheaper than europe if im not mistaken
