I don't know if you Dutch people know the "Delhaize" stores? There we found it. It was one of the best white wines I ever drank.

And for the moment, I'm enjoying another Jack Daniel's!

Yeah, but sadly I know the name because of the Bende van Nijvel affair...maybe I'll pour me a sweet white wine or a Tia Maria

No beer or wiskey here @ present...

Cheers mate! On a jolly good life!

#322374Post 43 of 90

Thanks mate!

And yes... "Bende van Nijvel"... It's been a long time. But that's a different story.

Ps: You gotta download the new Rich Woods mix in the "[ms] Member sets and recommendations" section. Part 1 is awesome! I love the first 2 tracks and that David Bordales track is ROCKIN' MY WORLD atm!

Will do that right away. My wine turned sour...so I'll pull open a fresh Italian wine from Bologna...

BTW: if you like, I recommend my very own november promo, also to be found in the same section. I'm proud of the fact that it somehow made it's way to Frisky Radio and got aired...They've now asked me to do an exclusive for the 2nd week of january...

#322382Post 45 of 90

Re: Jack Daniel's Tennessee Whiskey (!)

I'm not a huge fan of JD. Irish whiskey goes down smoother. Try some Bushmills. It's not much more expensive than JD and the quality is way better IMO.

#322404Post 48 of 90

Bushmills eh? Okay, I'll give it a try sometime.

#322575Post 49 of 90

This topic rocks .. keep sharing all experiences with wines, whiskeys and other alcoholic stuff

I'll sleep tight later on!

yeah it's my turn to be wasted  . Just back from an Irish pub with my best friend .. I discovered a new beer: Kill Kenny. I drunk 4 "pints" (half a liter) of it. I really enjoyed it. Seems like other beers than belgian beers can be good as well. I love beer ...

Re: Jack Daniel's Tennessee Whiskey (!)

Jack and Daniel are my two best friend!!!

#328819Post 57 of 90

Last week I had Christmas dinner with some friends, and got wasted on wine and whiskey... My friend almost managed to fall into the water with his drunk ass...seems riding a bike with the world doing crazy thing to your head is not entirely safe, especially crossing a bridge with two drunkin' lowlifes on one bike, with the ones steering needing the whole broadth of the street to keep going :Naughty:

Next morning I had a cold, a fever and a fuking hangover. Don't remember ever feeling so bad, but it was worth the laugh!

For Xmas one of my uncles came over with a bottle of Johnnie Walker Blue label. This is the finest blended scotch I've ever had. When you drink it you definitely know why the price tag is so high.

#328879Post 59 of 90

^^ Blue label? Never heard of that. Only red & black label. How old?

-Psynce-

#328883Post 60 of 90

man, blue label must be one of the most expensive Johnny Walkers. You can't even buy it at a local store. Most expensive JW you can buy at the local store must be the Green label.

Johnnie Walker also offers a higher quality Gold and Blue label, with Blue being the very finest. I'm not sure how old it is aged for but it has to be at least 18 years. A bottle will run anywhere from 150 to 180 dollars. For more info;

you gotta be kidding me -Pf- , being a whiskey drinker and not know JW Blue label. It's legendary...

#329050Post 63 of 90

ive never seen green label johnny walker. i knew about blue and how expensive it was, but have yet to taste it for myself. consider yourself lucky.

drink whiskey!

#329051Post 64 of 90

Never tasted it, but I will if my plans for next year work out...

#329375Post 65 of 90

the green is very good, I was sipping on it while tailgating at the jet game this past sunday

we basically killed the entire bottle, but we did stay nice and warm

#329377Post 66 of 90

Lynchburg piss ... drink it you wankers.

I am going to stick with my Stella.

#329380Post 67 of 90

Heehe...I'm going to find myself a gold label. Given the description of the taste, that one should really be my thingy!

And it's still affordable. Go drink your Stella Asdf...

#329382Post 68 of 90

I have to. No choice in the matter. :Naughty:

#329383Post 69 of 90

Why not? Don't tell me all other beers are piss in the US...

#329387Post 70 of 90

... pretty much ... except Microbrews ... which tend to be a local brew shop in a town. There is no way the USA is even close to beers found in Europe, not even a hint close.

I mean come on ... cherry lemon beer? called zing buster? wtf?!?

give me the straight shit.

#329391Post 71 of 90
I mean come on ... cherry lemon beer? called zing buster? wtf?!?
UHh...I get your point mate, completely...

Even if they give it some crazy name here, you can count on it to be really good. Only really good and exceptional beers get names like that here :WinkNSmi:

#329394Post 72 of 90

I always try to drink Import. Tastes best and leaves my head on the next morning. We do have a proud beer here ... Pabst Blue Ribbon. My wifes Grandfather was a brew master. Fucking tres cool.

Pretty much cheap water that gets you drunk. Could you ask for more when you are young and with pennies?

#329398Post 73 of 90

Nope.

my problem is: I don't like normal beer. It's too bitter for me, So I always stick to specials, wine or whiskey. You should try La Chouffe if you can find it, it's also Belgian, and has a strong, sweet taste. I usually drink blonde beer, but that stuff is VERY GOOD. It's about 8%...

#329400Post 74 of 90

will look around ... we get a pretty good beer selction here in Oregon. Some only beer stores. They usually have the best from most countries. I will take a peep. :Naughty:

#329404Post 75 of 90

Do it and find it, you'll thank me after you've tasted it...

#329433Post 76 of 90

Re: Jack Daniel's Tennessee Whiskey (!)

You've obviously never tried any Scottish whiskeys.

Also, I love Jack Daniel's but it's actually a bourbon.
]Who else thinks it's the best whiskey in the world? I tried A LOT of brands but this passed the test of time. I like it pure, no ice and not mixed with coke. (cocaine... yes).

:Alchy Aaaaaaaaaaaah!!

-Psynce-
#329438Post 77 of 90

Sorry to disappoint you lot but Johnnie Walker is a blend made of better Scotch whiskeys. A blend is subordinate to a malt in any connoisseur's book. I prefer Lagavulin.
