Spoke to one of my mates that saw Carl Cox there a couple of weeks back, 2 double shots of absinthe and a bottle of beer was £28 quid!

When I went there for Dave Seaman I took £60 after paying £40 for a cab I then had to pace myself. Not good. London is a whole lot more fun when the tubes are running.:lol:

It cost us 50 quid takin a cap home from 10.5, luckly btw the 4 of us it wasnt much....dont remember the drinks been 2 exp at matter.

Ohhhhhhhh those days when i used to take the tube home in the morning back from Gallery and Fabric !!

Yeah, I was surprised when I read this, too. I assume he can't be the ONLY guest in room 2, for a variety of reasons: a) Cloning technology hasn't reached such a stage whereby a 30-something man/woman can be successfully cloned (or at least I don't think it has), which is what it would take for JD to appear at both matter and her sister/cousin/tourist-friend, Fabric, simultaneously; and, even if it has, would that clone, "JD II", necessarily have the same set-building ability and mixing prowess? b) Clone or no clone, a 30-hour set is a big ask for any DJ; he certainly would have to play Reflections a few times - perhaps his clone would, and then the original Diggers would - as well as some of his favourite long-players over the past few years: we're talking Subtellite, Aftermath, the original-mix-with-greatest-breakdown-ever version of Gridlock, 25 minutes strong; some Blue Amazon records would also have to resurface. Sounds like fun, actually.

My still-tipsy musings aside, maybe John will be playing on Sunday night? Or, if he has a little nap, post Bedrock, and doesn't fancy watching any of the football, perhaps a cosy little Sunday afternoon slot is on the cards. It seems only right that he should be figuring in their birthday plans, anyway. My train home is on Monday, but I think I'll be too broken from Bedrock (hopefully purely in a weary sense) to contemplate another venture out. ;)

Depends what the Marathon 8-hour set @ Matter takes out of him. I think i'll be heading for bed after his last record.

I want to make Xmas fabric though if he plays the night after the Sasha & Digweed Warehouse Project set ... hoping to do the double-header !

Sasha did Fabric on the millenium unannounced, Looks like some one wasn't supposed to let the cat out off the bag. Fabric is staying open till Monday morning, I recon he will play Sunday night
