I shouldn't be blamed like that, blamed for what others do, or for what I am or for how I look...that type of attitude is not fair, it is not square! Some users wana make jokes, and I go along with it; after all we are here for fun. But i don't accept to have fun at my expense (coz I could act/react differently trust me).

you do kind of encourage those kinds of posts... i remember when we had that banner with random photos and most of the time 3/5 of the pictures were of you, posted by you... lol it has gone down a lot in recent months because people are starting to post pictures though =p

Well yes, I post pix just like anybody else...few things on [MS] were encouraged by my behavior, of which the whole "random pix" idea that u have on the main page. I see this as something positive, the forum evolved...and still is.

It is good to have most users post their pix, that was the aim. I wasnt very comfortable with the fact of having 3/5 pix to be of me on the main page, but it did the effect we expected it to do: encourage others to post pix. The idea materialized successfully, and in fact the forum looks more alive since then.

If a user wants to see my pix he knows where to find them...

that is where i am getting at though.... sure a few face pics or everyday 'hello' type pictures are great but when you post "glamour/sexy poses" shots of yourself, especially if you are a good looking woman, you will get attention because of it.

I'd leave Paris Hilton standing at the bar for any female that has something intelligent to say -looks are worth jack shit unless you're raving drunk and not able to have a decent convo yourself anyway (but in that case I could also hump my date's teddybear). Oh, and when old age has wrinkled a once smoothless skin, there can still be so much beauty. The skin is just part of the bigger equation that beauty is. How else do you explain falling madly in love with someone while there is many physically more attractive beings around than the one you chose? It's the sum of all that is in you that counts, the wrapping certainly helps but is definitely not the only decisive factor.

I was simply pointing out that this is a recurring thing whenever the topic of looks, beauty, sex, and Shiva, comes together in a thread. Nothing to do with making fun of you or blaming you.

This whole thread and past thread of similar topics simply indicate you have a different outlook on these things. I am simply going out on a limb here and pointing that out. I will admit that this is presumptious, but perhaps your good looks and your vocation colours your perception of such issues, and this is further exacerbated by your obliviousness to what I'm trying to say here.

Yes. True. But the pix I posted on my profile (which are shown in the random pix section) are mostly modeling & djing pix. Now unlike most of you, I live in the middle-east, in a place where showing skin can be considered as something "offensive". All of those pix were taken from ads/jobs I made in the region and they were mostly published in regional magazines. My assumption was that if in the middle-east those pix were accepted without making a big fuzz out of it, I supposed that they would be easily accepted on [MS] as well, maybe without giving them much importance to them even (but that was a wrong assumption obviously).

Now when I wana go "heavier" and use my body for sensuality purposes I do it inside threads so that it is done in a discreet manner. I am always careful not to be/seem vulgar coz I don't like vulgarity (in general). [B]I love mercuryserver[/B] and my thought in this was to add a special flavor to it; I mean come on, where else do u have a female dj/model active member of a forum displaying such pix, coz after all what I am displaying is QUALITY done with DISCRETION...got to admit that it has added something pretty special to this forum; And as a consequence many fans followed me here and registered to [MS]. What I am saying are facts and not just words.

That is how I view it, and honestly i am negatively surprised at some comments where I feel envy and sometimes even jealousy.

To those I say that I don't need [MS] as a platform to market myself, as much as I need MCast to promote my music, thats is what brought me here in the first place. If I wana market myself I have other places and means of doing it, and in a more effective way where I could reach double or triple the total number of active members this forum has. But I wana solve this "Shiva-sex-beauty" B.S. issue, so I am working on it: In fact I have already shifted all my pix to "private" mode in a way that they won't appear anymore on the main page. Also some fans of mine have posted my pix in their albums, I will try to ask them to remove them, even if it is their account and i am not supposed to ask them anything or tell them what do with it. So you will be seeing less of me, and hopefull reading less of me as well.

I hope this reaction of mine will put a smile on some faces, more than this, I also tell them that I will even participate less to this forum hoping that the Shiva issue wont surface again.

But I won't hide that I have a feeling of disapointment from some members, I was expecting something else, something more mature and solid....but nevermind, it is not important anyway.

I'm still not sure why it is that some people felt that we had to take a simple post about a humor article and turn it into this drawn out request / expectations for Shiva to serve as the spokesperson for women who receive attention from men. It's all seemed quite strange and silly to me. I almost made a post with quotes in response to Yao, but who gives a flying fuck. I'm not going to add more fuel or be further embroiled in the kinda nonsense that happens around these threads.

But frankly, I did not know how many [U]real[/U] 30 - 40 year old (experienced) female models you all have had the opportunity of knowing and discussing philosophical topics with. I made the assumption that Shiva was the exception and thought she if anyone would have had enough experience with keeping her guy friends in the friendship category to be able to articulate a profound response on such. And since I already knew from experience she would be happy to go into depth on this topic, her name naturally came to mind when this thread was originated. And of course any female on MS is welcome to add their experiences to the discussion...right?

What I should have probably allowed her to simply chime in if she wanted to. I assumed we were all familiar enough with her that it would be no biggie for me to name drop. But h well, lesson learned, and now I'm looking fwd to letting this one join the archives ^_^

Everyone is entitled to his/her opinion, the exchange of views and ideas can turn a thread into some interesting, especially if it builds up within respect between the participants....so plz lets try to keep it that way.:)

There are several types of [MS]ers, among which the type of user with username "1234567" etc, who comes in here, goes to the promo section, downlaods, and the maximum he does is posting "tnx for the share". And you have the other extremety, the user who has relatively been here since a while, with a certain maturity or/and age, that stays and participates to this forum for what it is, and a forum IS in its members, not the amount of music is has. This user knows that there is more than that in here, blends in and try to bring /add quality to this place coz he likes it, and end up caring for it. The number of posts of each user indicates how much of his time he has give the forum, hence be part of it, care for it.

I am part of the latters, and proud of being a member of this forum; Few know my contribution to this place, most know me and know very well how I deal in general, and with theards like these ones in particular.

I care for keeping the peace and mutual respect in this place, so I don't accept to be at the center of disputes as it happens sometimes. And rarely, you have a user that really pushes it too much forward and gets ejects, and we don't wana have of those, plz.

All I can say guys is that I am enjoying, which probably are my last days at [MS], coz soon after delivery I donno if I even will be able to log in to [MS] and might be gone just like many others. I'm getting into an unknown zone of life. Having a new born at home is something tough, having 2 is.....much tougher, if u get my point.

I don't wana have bad energy from [MS] whatsoever.... The pix are removed (for now), maybe few traces will show on the random pix but those are from other users not from me, I cant do much about it.

You probably know how other forums are, some of them are really trashy, places where people insult each other etc.. And to have a site with 30.000+ members like [MS], with such mature and appreciable members and such a harmony despite our cultural differences......what could we ask more? It is one of the reasons why I love this place and I fully appreciate most of its members (at least the ones I know or got to be familiar with. I got to care very much for MS AND MCast.
