Just wondering if anyone knows where I can buy GAS denim clothing on-line?
In fact Diesel and G-star too
I'd appreciate it - cheers

http://ebay.com < sometimes you can find GAS clothing.
Mostly look around in the shops, know what size you wear generally in that brand, then snatch it up for half the price on ebay. Works for me.
Re: Where can I buy GAS denim on-line?
$300  not a chance of me paying that
In Ireland, you pay at cheapest about EUR 120 ($160) a pair. Imagine they might be flogged overseas for cheaper ;)

Re: Where can I buy GAS denim on-line?
160 is still WAY more than I would ever pay for jeans. The only kind of jeans i wear anymore are DKNY, as I really dig their fit, and they are all around $50.

 You'd pay a lot more than that for DKNY clobber over here. That's the problem with buying clothes in Ireland - we get ripped off
Re: Where can I buy GAS denim on-line?
why would you want to buy gas jeans???

Re: Where can I buy GAS denim on-line?
no i work for sisley, but being a jeans designer i kinda know what i'm on about!
gas jeans arent anything to write home about, but then it depends what you are after. they certainly arent worth $300

I'm intrigued Dhar 2. I agree, I wouldn't spend $300 on a pair either but I would have thought $150 was acceptable enough. Any particular reason why you would disagree. Honestly, I'm very curious
Re: Where can I buy GAS denim on-line?
i know the industrial cost for a pair of jeans
i know their suppliers and their laundries.
i personally feel for the price, they dont use particularily nice denim's or nice washes!
obviously every company has its mark up and some jeans are horrendously over priced for what they are. eg. paper denim cloth - they dont use anything special in terms of fabric or wash. but they are in hence sell. however, everyone states they love the fit, hence maybe they've got that right. but it doesnt justify the price tag. lets just say that the jeans u pay $150 will have an industrial cost of about $15-$20. someone like diesel for its top end stuff will be around $30 (prices based on a normal height(160cm) non selvdge denim)
Gas make decent basic jeans and i cant fault them. They have a certain consumer in mind and a certain image. at the end of the day its all down to the percieved value of the consumer, as they cant tell the difference between one fabric and another, or the details of a wash.
Re: Where can I buy GAS denim on-line?
^that was like 4,000 posts worth of dhar2 words.
Re: Where can I buy GAS denim on-line?
^was thinking that too ... the only time Dhar made any sense.
I used to wear G-star but got over them. I like their jeans, interesting details and nice washes, but everyone wears them so I kinda got over it.
Nudie is also quite popular if you want to check out some other brands. They do a good variety of cuts and always have decent washes. I own a pair of black coated Slim Jims.
I've been wearing a pair of PRPS jeans the past year, best fitted jeans I've worn, and very well made. Mine are raw selvedge but they make some really nice distressed jeans, I've read their distressed jeans are some of the best around.
And I just picked up a pair of simple raw selvedge jeans from Uniqlo today for USD65.
I'm now looking for a pair of black jeans to replace my black Nudies that've gotten tight from too many squats at gym

meltin' pot is cool too and timezone has some nice designs as well!
Re: Where can I buy GAS denim on-line?
but it doesnt justify the price tag.
what justifies a price tag is what people are willing to pay for the product.

I buy them at www.dkny.com but I buy the ones they are really trying to sell. Not the brand new overpriced stuff.
Frankly if I knew how to sew, I'd just make my own jeans. Then I could really talk about my jeans, Because I made them.:lol:8)

EXACTLY, just look at BAPE. I personally would NEVER pay $95 for a T-Shirt. Not even if I were on stage with my four brothers.8)
Re: Where can I buy GAS denim on-line?
If I 'get' BAPE I'd probably pay for it, but I don't understand BAPE at all nor find its products attractive.
Just look at what he did to this Merz:
so please enlighten us some more... what jeans do you think are worth it?
depends on what your after.
Diesel Design Gallery and PRPS have some great washes and fabrics.
Energie arent bad, but their washes are very fake.
Levis are probably your best bet for basics
Edwin have some great vintage washes.
Re: Where can I buy GAS denim on-line?
I was thinking of a pair of Edwin before picking up the cheaper Uniqlo. TBH I'm not a big fan of fancy washes, I like the dark indigo that comes with most raw jeans.
Re: Where can I buy GAS denim on-line?
for a decent quality raw denim you have to pay!
a lot of cheaper denim are made up of synthetic indigos and have pre or post dyes of black to darken the colour.
generally its best to buy raw selvedge denim, as it has a more rustic construction (due to the shorter looms) and has a pure indigo colour.
Re: Where can I buy GAS denim on-line?
The Uniqlo is raw selvedge!
Re: Where can I buy GAS denim on-line?
fair play!
especially at that price!
i've seen some amazing selvedge denim's last season. starting at $16 a metre. thats $50 worth of fabric for a pair of jeans before u even get started!!! u can get chinese selvedge denim for $2.50 the range is scarey.
Re: Where can I buy GAS denim on-line?
seven jeans ftw.

your original recommends where spot on mate, but i just had to include the 575 and rock & republic. quality! :)
Re: Where can I buy GAS denim on-line?
I can attest to the quality of diesel jeans, although at this time I only have one diesel bathing suit and a few shirts....I sold all of my worn diesel jeans on Ebay to people outside the US for about $100... they thought it was a great value too.
^Will look into 575 jeans...
& Not ever going to line this guys pocket:

Re: Where can I buy GAS denim on-line?
The thing with jeans is that it's not just the material ... the cut is also key - you have have the best material/selvage but if the cut or colour make you look a twat, they're skin tight, or hang around your arse making you look like you pooped yourself then they ain't worth it.
Generally I buy jeans in the sales ... got 5 x Diesals, 2 x D&G (they had a great cut and people comment on how great the denim looks), paper denim cloth, nudie, stone island, g-star, and a £17 pair of Helmut Langs that were the last pair left in Florence (bargain). Also bought 2 x pairs of Red Ear jeans at a Paul Smith outlet for £25 each.

x2. Not a big fan of lurid brand symbols ... which rules Evisu out, I hate those gulls.
That said, I quite like these ones when I first saw them:

Typically the jeans should mold to your body.
Re: Where can I buy GAS denim on-line?

been sticking with these for the past 5-6 years and I am happy...you can say what you want but I have diesels that are 4 years old and I still wear them...my levi's fell apart after 18 months or so...to each his own. I love my diesels..i actually bought a new pair online a couple of days ago for 85£ which is pretty cheap if you ask me the last ones I bought before were 160£...
Re: Where can I buy GAS denim on-line?
I think jeans are the only thing Diesel does well (especially their gallery or premium line that Dhar mentioned) but I don't own any. Did think about it. Their clothes are iffy.
