Re: Easter Bedrock - review - kind of!
I had a great time, it was great to see everyone again and some new faces, funkykarma was cool and Mav and his mates where just a laugh a minute. I got in to late to really get into Jimmy Van M's set so I couldn't really comment. I had a great time, I enjoyed what he was playing. I had to leave about 5.45 as my mate had booked a Taxi. I ended up at a crazy party till 11 PM with an ex Coronation Street actress and children's TV presenter.
Sorry I missed you leaving ... I was on the 1st floor balcony overlooking the DJ booth and having a drink with Funkykarma - the sound system and vibrating dancefloor take their toll !

The music reminded me of the stuff from part of 2000 - very dark, driving beats and bordering on progressive. Perhaps it could have done with more vocals and a few tracks to break it up, but Diggers must have decided he was taking no prisoners.

Sounds like the Vortex took a few casualties

Re: Easter Bedrock - review - kind of!

Can't say I was that taken with Digweed, couldn't get into it at all. Around 2.30 there was one track that built, built and looped - then crashed into something random - disapointing set the tone for the night. Twisted Audio in room 2 made up for it though.

Much as like the dancefloor, the spot i was in was just painful.

Re: Easter Bedrock - review - kind of!

Great night. Loved paying room 2 early on The last 2 hours were insane.

He played that new tom middleton mix of Love stimulation. This was totally overshadowed by what went off in Brighton on Sat night. That was a really special one

Re: Easter Bedrock - review - kind of!

maybe because i didnt go at the 10th b-day @ matter, thats why i cant compare it and say if it was the same in a different manner or worse. tho seeing digweed in the past and seeing him again on thursday i must say that i enjoyed it very much, the music was dark and devastating as it was supposed to be and i would give it a 10/10

forget bedrock 10, that was one off and whoever went was the lucky ones to hear diggers spinning as if they were back in time.

do you remember last years easter bedrock? i think on thursday was a 1000 times better!

Would be sweet if couple years down the line Diggers releases the recording as an album for old times sake

Re: Easter Bedrock - review - kind of!

sad i had to miss this, despite the mixed reviews.

to EVERYONE who left early...you are totally spoiled! move to a city where you don't get digweed for a year or two at a time and the clubs close at 3am, and i promiss you it won't take long to appreciate the type of nights london gets. leaving early...you better be ill, injured, or tossed for being too fucked up :P

just my opinion of course. will see you people in october for the 11th anniversary.

Hey Jeff

I was chatting to Diggers about you !

Mentioned we were from [ms] and the cool Vagabond pic, he asked if you'd made it - told JD you'd opted for the WMC but planned to be over in October. Think you're his new best mate ;)

Looking forward to the 11th Birthday ... me, Adzey, Funkykarma and Maff's 2 x mad mates survived the full night 10.00 til 7.40 a.m. - didn't want to let you down !!

Re: Easter Bedrock - review - kind of!

Tom Middleton's One More Tune is out April 27th. There's no Digweed cd (As if they would release something without any promotion).

Next Renaissance album after Tom's is the next Masters album from Hernan Cattaneo towards the end of June.
