OK, boys and girls, who do you reckon is the king of the tech-house/micro-tech scene these days. I've heard some amazing stuff from Steve Bug,Pascall FEOS, and Villalobos, but haven't seen any of them live.

So, who's your fucking tech-house daddy!?

Re: Your favorite tech-house dj?

Mazi, Tripwire, Stadius, and Ty-Tek for tech house....

Villalobos, Hawtin, Magda, Steve Bug, Matthew Dear, Jake Fairley just a few for minimal...

Not so much a tech house DJ, but most of his productions are tech oriented and played out by tech DJs. Plus, he does play a lot of tech in his sets 2.

Fav's are all as producers mostly: Ricardo Villalobos, Hawtin, and FEOS as producers.

Ty-Tek and the whole Denver gang, Craig Richards and Jenks for DJs. Even though I've only heard 1 set by Jenks.

Pascal has a new tech-house (or minimal techno or whatever you want to call it) label called levelnonzero (www.levelnonzero.com). You can listen to a set there (realaudio) from him and one from his label partner chris wood (go to the artist section).

Yup,still around in full force, touring the US now...check out www.611records.com for his schedule. Saw him in philly (his and my hometown) at whistle (massive rave ) a month or so ago, he played the 5-6am slot in the main room and absolutly KILLED it...bangin dirty tech house...old skool   Speaking of techy and philly...Josh Wink played that night too, and was fuckin sick...him and Nigel were prob my fav sets of the night...For DnB it was def. Photek, Mason, and MC Armani. a very well put together party, I had not seen that many kids at a philly party since like 2000!

sometimes

here are some djs i like that sometimes play "tech-house"

chloe ethan of 3brotherstrong kriece mazi terry francis paul louth swag jay tripwire tyler stadius dan mnookin brian ffar bill patrick craig richards lee burridge dave twomey dj t "evil" eddie richards ellen allien funk d'void jacob london dj three john ioannou john tejada ty tek little mike lucien foort marky star jenks luciano michael mayer villalobos steve bug mathew jonson q-burns slam

and too many more to name... not that there is such a thing as an exclusively "tech-house" dj, as there are with so many other genres of house music.
