Ok ... well some one had to get their shit together and do this - frankly none of us will be in fit states for days as is was a marathon set, full of emotion and simply sublime music.

In fact its an impossible task to even try to capture just how awesome the set was, it spanned from early Renaissance to Norther Exposure to Communicate to Transitions with loads of track from all in a marathon & seemless 9 hours mix of pure Vortexness.

Special heads up the the [ms] guys who are a great bunch of chaps - Adam (AdzeybuB) Jeff (Day for Night) Mohammed (Dzone), Chris (Chunky), AndyH and The Mighty Greg ... you're legends ... in fact Jeff must have been up for 30 hours and was still rocking it hard til the end !

Simply one of the best nights of progressive/house/electronic music I've witnessed - the way Diggers built up from opening (10.15.pm) with ambientness (e.g. Steiger - Postcards) to progressive classics (Apollo 400 - Liquid Cool, Trancesetters - Roaches) to Vortex to tearing roof off for about the 20th time with Heaven scent up to closing (07.15.am.) .. it simply takes your breath away, and did at the time .. even though we danced far too hard.

Oh yeah and the breakdown late-morning with Planet Funk - Inside All The People (Harvery's Ibiza Sleepy Mix) was inspired. Dzone certainly enjoyed that one !

We'll have to comprise a tracklist when we all get our my senses back ... but I did find/manage to cobble the one below together (with help of the Bedrock board) .. plus there's vids too (not mine ... I was too busy getting into the music) :

Had an amazing time.

Didnt make any meetups before hand - was at Waterloo station meeting up with friends then we decided to head straight for the dome.

Great music, great soundsystem, great visuals, so many friendly faces and people ive met over the years at Bedrock.

John destroyed it big time - the great thing was that even the club was busy, there was always room to dance properly. Even the air con made 100% difference over going to Heaven.

Dancefloor carnage, bring on Fabric in december :)

Highlight for me was Apollo 440, thought Diggers lost it later on (around 430 - 5ish til i left at 7). Loved all the classic early on and the club is amazing. Go for the dance floor, when that bass hits your chest and your feet at the same time it is out of this world. Had a great night, roll on the next one!

It was an incredible night with Digweed destroying the dancefloor. The new venue and its sounding system is simply perfect ...

Too bad I could not make it to the pub before Bedrock to meet up with the rest of the MS crew. Unfortunately, I did not meet any of MS guys, although I was around DJ booth most of the night :(

This was the best night I've had out in the last 5 or 6 years, potentially the best ever. Didn't utter a single word from about 11.30 to 3 as I left everyone I knew to focus on dancing.

and also reading reports of too much light in main room, i'd agree with this 100%, man my eyes were stinging the next day

Yeah that's just reminded me. I thought he played Life On Mars I remember mentioning it to Simonr at the time. But the Evolution Mix of Life On Mars also sounds similar to a track Sasha plays on the Angels Burnley set from 10.06.1995

Just checked out the La Tour -Blue track on YouTube. I think it was more like Evolution Mix of Life On Mars. But they do all sound similar anyway

That has actually put a bit of a downer on it for me. The number of times I have watched the Youtube vid of the Bedrock where he plays it and and thought 'man I want to hear that again' (I was there for that one forunately). :(

Oh well. Still privileged to have been there and seen what happened :D

I travelled 2,500km to see this night I waited for 10Y and have to tell you that was probably the worst Digweed I ever heard. number of tracks but no orderand not a thought. And that was the first time I saw Digweed smiling all night long.

For many the mixing was seemless and the blend of tracks (new & old) absolutely inspired. I remember on commenting to Chunky how fresh the old stuff sounded - music can be timeless and the renaissance/NE/Communicate tracks are still awesome today.

Dunno what you were expecting mate ... but sorry you didn't enjoy things.

I too thought Diggers was faultless, mixing was sublime as ever, and he really got to work with that incredible soundsystem which is easily the best in the UK.

Cant wait for the next one at Matter - probably easter?
