I remember when sasha, digs and dt were in the top 3 ...
there are a lot of people who dont even know about the dj's we listen to and still cast votes ...
i feel like there's another school right above us with the tiesto and pvd hoards ... i dont know if its helping or hurting the scene ...
they should do some type of industry poll to spike the credibility ... and look at things like cd releases, live work and contribution to the music as well
Re: DJ Mag top 100 2004
This gets worse every year...
Burridge = 56  he should be in the top ten James Holden = 36  Top ten for sure
Didnt see craig richards, Luke Fair and Desyn Masielo who are all on top of there game right now and have been for the past year
I will only look at this list again if I need a good laugh

Its actually Adam BEyer Zames ZabIEla Sander KlEInenberg
:FuckOff:
It was clear that the Trance DJ's get a high number of votes but Moshic not listed at all or am I blind? WTF :smells l:
it just goes to show that this list is a complete farse.. the USA seemed to hold a strong presence this year with guys like BBB & christopher and a few others ... I hope that a lot of people only look at the polls and go to the club.. Because when i go to sander or lawler it wont be so packed..
Even though most of us probably think that that these results are utter shite, they are a reflection of those opinions of the people who voted.
So big deal in Tiesto won again, who really gives a damn. Like most awards out there it does not mean that the winners are necessarily the best, just the best marketted.
That said, it's an absolute disgrace that Moshic doesnt feature :x
I'm interested to see the 250-101 list in a few weeks!
lol, i don't care, was surprised to see again Tiesto, haven't herd him this year, maybe he is really good?
I don't pay that much attention to the outcome of the DJ Mag poll as it is obvious the results are ridiculous. It has become a popularity poll where even R&B lovers who heard a Ti?sto track once caste a vote
It's time for some real contest with a schooled jury on it --> maybe divided into several genres ...
And if yo?'re getting really bored with the Ti?sto hype --> try living in Holland! I'm so fed up with the media hyping him :x
Re: DJ Mag top 100 2004
Congrats to Luke Fair on spot #103. Grrrr! So darn close. :MadNow:
Re: DJ Mag top Bum 100 2004
Just wanted to personally say thanks to all those from here who voted for me. It means a lot just to be in there, even if I was #150 or whatever. To know that people enjoy what I do makes it all worth it and I'm very appreciative to those who did vote me in their list.
Many, many thanks
JZ :)
^^ That poll stinks James  Folks have no idea what good music is. Too much comercial interest

Re: DJ Mag top 100 2004
the only reason tiesto won is because he played at the olympics opening ceremony (fuck him) i thought for sure jimmy z as going t win this year lee burridge isn't even in the top 10 and cusick where the fuck is he. Digweed getting beaten by Christopher Lawerence, i'm ashamed to say that guy is from america (fuck him too)
Re: DJ Mag top 100 2004
in my opinion tiesto sucks!!
My OWN: TOP 5
James Zabiela John Digweed Desyn Masiello  Sander Klainenberg Seb Fontaine
its as much of a joke as the u.s. election.
agree
I realy don''t care about the outcome at all realy. i know what's quality, alot don't sucks for them i guess. And that's about as far as it go's for me 8)
Re: DJ Mag top 100 2004
Respect Mr.Tiesto! :Twilo:
Re: DJ Mag top 100 2004
^^^^^^respect this tiesto :Suck:
Re: DJ Mag top 100 2004
These things only reflect popularity - I doubt even DJ mag would claim that it's some kind of barometer of talent or quality. House music has been around so long now that I'm surprised any 'credible' names are near the top ten. The more the average person likes something, the more average it is.
Just imagine what fans of Laurent Garnier, Jeff Mills, Danny Tenaglia, Derrick Carter etc etc must be thinking when they read the ranking!
cheers, RH
