in hospital for a major operation at 4am.
had to have a bath and go down for surgery at 6, they did give me some happy drugs after it though so things werent all bad!

Not me but a mate who was awoken by his pissed up brother ripping selotape off his eyebrows and taking most of the hair with him. They still havent grown back properly now.

July 2006, the Israeli air force dropped a bomb on a bridge under my house at 5:00am (they evaporated it....) I think I made a jump of 1/2 meter in my bed while sleeping...they call them the jdam bombs i think....and that was a nasty BANG!

The bridge is like less then 1/4 mile away from my house, I am on the top of a hill so i can easily see it, and the lanscape is like in-between moutains so the sound is amplified while travelling..and BANG! lol

naybe 2 years ago I woke up one morning to my smoke alarms going off and the whole house full of smoke and a burning rubber smell. my roommate at the time started a wash of clothes before he left for work but forgot to take a bunch of pellets out of his pocket first. the pellets broke the agitator causing it to not spin any more, which eventually led to the belt on the motor rubbing itself out of existence on the motor and the agitator shaft. I woke up thinking everything I owned and had worked toward was burning up with me stuck in the middle

Once I was sleeping with my foot slightly going out of the bed....lol...Jack took a good look at my toes (took them for another cat or something) and just jumped on them with a bite and some nails...that was painful and sudden for an awakening...lol

lol, once in college our chinchilla got out of its cage for a few days.. i fell asleep on the couch, and woke up to it sniffing my nose which scared the shit out of me and i took a swipe at it without realizing and sent it across tthe room.

It was after a night out on a first date with a girl, I woke up covered in my own piss beside her. The absolute fear from me as i thought of a way to leave the room and leg it. My drink must have been spiked as i was acting weird after 5pints and i ended up puking in her sink when we got back to hers. Don't really remember much after that and well you know what happaned next.. :)

I've also woken in an emergency room strapped down to a stretcher... hands, feet, waist, head, etc all strapped down. had no idea where I was, other than I was stuck, I was in pain, and bright lights everywhere. but I don't consider that "waking up" as much as "coming out of it"

was in a bad car accident when I was 24. t-boned by a truck doing estimated 65-70 mph, i was sitting still. I was in bad shape. in a coma for 3 days, released from hospital, went home laid on the sofa for 3 days, woke up and realized I could not remember the last time I had eaten. so i get up and decide to deep fry some chicken, turn on the grease, deploy the chickens and go back to the sofa where I fall back to sleep. I woke up 20 minutes later when my wife came home screaming that the house was on fire. my dumb ass, never experiencing a grease fire before dumps an iced tea pitcher full of water on it. in case you haven't seen what that looks like........WOW!!! not a fun way to wake up after being pumped with meds and out of conciousness for a week.

For me the worst was not to long ago. I was asleep, but something woke me up. Not sure what it was, but you have the feeling that you heard something that wasn't right or something is amiss. My wife heard it too as she whispered "did you hear that?" We heard it again, it was thump coming from downstairs. Instantly, that rush of adrenaline and you're wide awake. I grabbed my shotgun and worked my way through the house to find the back door wide open. Nothing else was amiss and there was no obvious sign of forced entry so its entirely possible I just left it unlocked and the wind blew it open, but none the less, it was a tense few moments and hard to get back to sleep.

Probably the time I woke up in the back of a car in Orange County after partying in Tijuana all night. Looked around, had no idea where I was, so then had to knock on the door of the house the car was parked at, luckily did not piss off the girl who owned the car, went in crashed on a couch then got a ride home later that day back to San Diego, the things you do when you are eighteen.

^ | I got you beat...i SLEPT through that one! and we were on the 10th floor of a hotel, which was swaying back and forth pretty violoently. broke every lamp in the hotel, but i didn't even flinch. my family woke me up and had to turn on the tv to prove there was an earthquake (i though they were messing with me).

ohh, and i've got an entertaining one. buddy of mine was at a house party in the suburbs. its the middle of january, cold and snowing.
he proceeds to get pissed drunk, walks out of the party with no shoes or coat on, and wanders around the neighbourhood for awhile. at some point, he realized he was getting pretty cold, wanders into the backyard of the house he thought the party was in. opens the sliding door, and crashes on the couch.
he wakes up the next morning in a house he has never been in, to find a couple in their mid forties staring at him in disbelief. how he talked himself out of that one I still don't know, but by the time he left, they had given him some tea and lent him some shoes to make it back to the house. we still bust his balls about that one...
