I love Majik Johnson’s stuff right now, for me he can do no wrong. Also, good artists like Spiritcatcher, Jamie McHugh, Smith and Selway and Slam just to mention a few. There is also a lot of crap out there. I can be sifting through the download sites for ages just to find a few good tracks so when something lands in my inbox with their names on it I ge t excited because I know it will be good. At the moment I'm on the look out for some amazing tracks for a new Global Underground mix album that I’m putting out with them following on from the mixes I did from Uraguay and Singapore. I'll be making a lot of my own music for the album but those are the guys who will be top of my hit list of people to call up to find out what they're working on.

Yeah they posted this on the GU website last week. Due to the the outstanding success of Felix's GU they have signed him to do another one next year. With an option for a third.:(

i saw him a couple of years ago here in Lima and while he played he was drinking a bottle of vodka from the tip and his overall performance really sucked, shit mixes and everything. Cant believe his GU was so successful.

Just cracked out disc 1 of Uruguay again after reading this thread. Very good mix indeed. CD2 of that release was ok also. Singapore did nothing for me, but Uruguay was a good release - plus at the time it was a nice detachment from the usual progressive of that era.

Emerson's not that great live. I suppose that's from experience, I last caught him 18-months ago at Circus and was disappointed - although that can apply to a lot of DJ's these days !

But DE's GU's are decent, and a new ones certainly not to be sniffed at given some of the recent lame offerings.

Do you remember the last Essential Mix he did. I was cringing between the songs. Good thing that GU has their own guy who actually does the mixes digitally...glad they are not live, or they would have went out of business long ago.
