i deleted my myspace account a year ago.
then i deleted facebook.
all it does is remind me of all the people i don't call or talk to on a regular basis. For those I do talk to or see often, i don't bother checking out thier profiles.
So what's the point?
There is none. It's symbolic of our societies need of self-importance.
And yet, there it is....

^^^^^Don't know how to tell you this but you can't delete at least your facebook account! It can be reactivated at any time. You are there forever :lol:

this MS group is not making things easier for me to stay away.
i also want to add this: is it not lame to have a facebook group for a messageboard community? that is to say, does not a facebook group presuppose there are no alternative electronic mediums for contact? in essence, it is like a beeper for a beeper.

I use facebook to also direct my promotions to this part of the world: Mediterranean sea surrounding countries, i.e. part of Middle-East, Europe and Africa.

i havnt had any spam appart from beatport on my myspace which i dont consider spam in the first place, if you set the settings on the options page you can set it so u can approve messages, seems to work as i havnt had any yet

I sometimes use also Hi5, and this is how I see it: Facebook: Regional Hi5: Continental Myspace: Global
Facebook is my favorite, donno maybe coz I have "personal" group or maybe coz it has more personalized apps... but I like it.
I'm not mentioning [ms] coz thats different, not comparable.

Well, the "Mistress of MCast" will soon be going on a rampage, it would take me less than 1/2 hour to fill it up with 3000 members, but I am waiting for something before I finalize the group and launch it, I am waiting for ze SPARK... ;)

too bad they cut facebook off at my work... not that i log on very often when i'm home, but it was a great way to kill time when i'm bored stiff in my cubicle. i'll check out some of these [ms] groups when i get home and if i feel i'm cool enough, i might join. 8)
