Re: Transitions 4

I feel the same way, I think the first 25 min are sweet, just melodic driving sounds but, it dosen´t go anywhere afterwards. I also love the SOS cds btw.

Re: Transitions 4

:( I should have ordered it from Diggers website. I still haven't heard it and it won't be in the stores until May 6th ffs. Can't find it on iTunes either and I imagine it'll be the 6th before it's available there. This sucks.

Re: Transitions 4

Glad they finally got sent out over the pond...

Still an amazing mix CD, cant decide if i prefer T1 or T4 more though

#1025080Post 182 of 198

Re: Transitions 4

^^theres no contest!

T1 IMO is the best CD Diggers has ever put out! T4 is just well ummmmmmm okay....

#1025134Post 183 of 198

Re: Transitions 4

have to admit.

i've lost interest in it after abit!

#1028315Post 184 of 198

Re: Transitions 4

first 30mins of this cd are the best i've heard from him. t4 will probably turn out to be my fav cd ever.

#1028317Post 185 of 198

Re: Transitions 4

I really like t4 but t2 is my personal favorite out of the whole series. I thought all the transitions were really good but I still don't about this being diggers best mix ever. MMII and GU-los angeles are my personal all time favorite mixes from digs.

#1044212Post 186 of 198

Re: Transitions 4

Finally got Transitions 4 - sick mix - lot's of melody. Major bump for Transitions 4.

#1044536Post 187 of 198

Re: Transitions 4

I've been bashing this for a while now and it's still so smooth and fresh like the first time i heard it. word.

#1050210Post 191 of 198

Re: Transitions 4

After listening to this countless times, I am truly convinced this is easily one of his best mixes ever.

#1050217Post 192 of 198

Re: Transitions 4

Yea...I love it! I thinks it's my favorite out of the 4. It's nice and deep, dark and dirty...just the way I like Diggers.:D

Re: Transitions 4

After listening to Structures CD 1 & 2 previews... I just had to pull this one out and take it for a spin. Admittedly haven't heard it for a while...and its still blazing hot!

Now I'm not so sure that the new album is gonna be as bad ass as this :what

#1386637Post 194 of 198

Re: Transitions 4

T4 is pretty much a work of art ... plus T2 (which got poor scores from some reviewers) is exceptional too :)

I'd say a lot of work went into them - just to get a single CD out there.

The Bedrock series doesn't suffer from licencing issues (apart from the Vagabond mix) - and are a great package in their own right. The music on there will have less of a Berlin influence because those artists are already on exclusive deals + there's a lot of competition, so it won't sound the same as T4 ... but then we get the massive Bedrock moments instead.

Structures must represent the best value for money yet for a package of this type !

#1386642Post 195 of 198

Re: Transitions 4

I must admit, of the Transitions series, I didn't really "get" 3 or 4, unlike the first two, which are divine to my ears. Mind, the 3rd was worthy of purchase alone for the inclusion of the 25-minute Gridlock with The Greatest Breakdown of All Time; and the 4th did have some quality moments... I haven't listened to either of them for quite a while, so I might enjoy them more now.

I'm really looking forward to Structures - as Simon has just said, one would expect it to be value for money ;) I'm still desperate to know how much of the Vagabond set will be included, given the aforementioned licensing issues (boo).

Re: Transitions 4

No prob ... strange thing is that the EM 2010 doesn't needed licencing - assume at best there's a just a payment for 1 x play for the producers for airplay - if that ever happens.

Daft thing is that the exposure from Diggers playing your tracks makes people aware of your label & name etc. - the Transitions show certainly promotes a lot of labels/producers we wouldn't have usually checked, as JD extends out comfort zone for music & opens up our ears.

I assume that Bedrock can also be very selective about who they let use their tracks ... so no-one will be getting their paws on the likes of Bg or Aurora Borealis or Meteor or Satellite etc.

Over the 52 x T's per year + Bedrock podcasts... the EM ... and Structures, I think we're getting our fair share ;)
