Also the server goes offline from time to time
Re: Something wrong with [MS]
Plus when I tried to search for posts with my username in movies, the forum told me no such user existed
Re: Something wrong with [MS]
Threads don´t seem to bump
Re: Something wrong with [MS]
They're bumping except for those at the top whose last posts are dated April. If someone posted a reply dated today, they'll fall back down and join the rest of the threads like this one.

test
Downtime(s) site problems and mysterious posts from April this year....
Without making it too long...something out of our control fucked up and caused the board to go down yesterday and after our sites were back we experienced errors like postings with wrong time stamps "from the future".
This process went on longer but the solution for the problem in the end was to delete all postings using a wrong time stamp from April 4, 2008. We mass deleted about 70 postings so sorry to everybody for loosing what you have posted. If you see any errors or strange behaviour from the website please let us know.
Re: Downtime(s) and mysterious posts from April this year....

Re: Downtime(s) and mysterious posts from April this year....
I get another chance to reach 2000 posts. I must have lost 100 of them.
Re: Downtime(s) and mysterious posts from April this year....
Tom: dont know is this is relevant so.ignore if required.
Posts made on Saturday appear to be reading 'yesterday' even though the correct date is on them.

Congrats! In about 2 years you are the 1st user who tried 2 searches in under 10 seconds and found out such a line exists. I have no clue where this stupid number comes from but this is a global setting for our board to keep the queries at a reasonable level so it will stay at 10 seconds. I more thought about raising it. I mean come on..10 seconds. How can you search for something so quickly?

I am not trying multiple or back to back searches...I get this on the first attempt. I just tried again and I'm still getting that error.
Re: Downtime(s) and mysterious posts from April this year....
Sorry, now I know what you mean. To my surprise (from my 1st quick research) it only seems to affect your profile. I need to dig deeper to see what's causing this.
Re: Downtime(s) and mysterious posts from April this year....
Thank you guys for keeping us running! I haven't seen any errors. I have already seen plenty of strange behavior on the part of our members, which is more than normal around here :p
Re: Downtime(s) and mysterious posts from April this year....
Time for some real troubleshooting then. You admins were getting a bit lazy all this time without board problems
Oh and btw, the dreaded "too many users downloading right now" is back!
Re: Downtime(s) and mysterious posts from April this year....
^^ the setting wasn't changed. I guess you just had bad luck and tried in a time where too many others were downloading the new Kiss100 and Cattaneo shows from last weekend.

 that's what you get for doing a search in April
Re: Downtime(s) and mysterious posts from April this year....
At least we now know what the number is: April 4, 2008 (date from the server crash where the server time got fucked up) minus seconds till day of the search request leads to this wonderful number. Why it only affects very few users is still unclear though..UGH.
Re: Downtime(s) and mysterious posts from April this year....
when i go to post in the forums, it keeps telling me that i have already posted today in that forum, and then i hit OK and it tells me to wait 15 seconds in between my posts on the same thread.
