Re: Best Intro/Start to a set or cd.
Just replaying this to see if it was as unbelievably good as I thought last night. It is !!!!!!!!!!!!! These are the intros I love, the ones that just grab you and drag you bodily in, none of this namby pamby gradual stuff !!
Glad you're diggin' it Di :D

No thread of this sort would be complete without the mention of Raff and Freddy, people! Listen on Bedrock 1 and Deep Progress ......even years down the line I'll be listening to that start on GU 013, and have that feeling of wanting to be nowhere else and listen to nothing but this......

Also worth mentioning are Satoshi Tomiie-Atari on Sander's Nu Breed.....just wow and before you know it you're bumping and funkin' to Ain't Gonna, genius 8)

Just found one on Ebay UK supposedly excellent and original 2 discs 13.99 pounds . This ok??

That's quite odd actually.....have you checked Amazon? May have better luck there....14 quid is worth it though :-)

Re: Best Intro/Start to a set or cd.

Was none available on amazon and amazon is always a hassle for me , shipping is very expensive and very slow. If they ship to Australia at all.

Re: Best Intro/Start to a set or cd.

^are you looking for the first bedrock comp? it is used on amazon for 1.50$ plus 2.98$ shipping. that is the US only but I am sure you could get it used for not that much and the shipping might not be too bad since the comp is so cheap, it might not be that expensive at the end. One of the best mixes of all time imo. johnny boy is the best dj ever.

Re: Best Intro/Start to a set or cd.

Definitely a contender for one of the best intros: 'MAKE IT BE-TTER.......MAKE IT BE-TTER......MAKE IT BETTER'......and the transition into the next track is sublime :)

Re: Best Intro/Start to a set or cd.

Reading through this thread seems like Sasha is the crowd fauvorite for the intro's.

I would love this: Sasha to start a set Hernan/Diggers to belt out the core and possibily Ricardo/Trentemoller to close. All rolled up within 3hrs. Super-mega compressed ultimate set.

Re: Best Intro/Start to a set or cd.

If I ever was a DJ I think the best way to get the ball rolling would have to be:

Yeahp, heads down thumbs down, and get ready to sweat....

Just adore how the songs slowly kicks in.

I've just got to add John Digweed's latest offering to this list.... can't get enough of this opener.

Kollect - Eagles and Butterflies.

Re: Best Intro/Start to a set or cd.

I actually quite like what Jody Wisternoff did on his frisky set from August .. 2011 I think "... I am not a number, I am a free man!" Which I think is from a 60's show called the prisoner.

I Also like how cd2 starts on Nick's new masters for some reason

The cd 2 has no intro, and the Start is very common for me.
