Re: I'm quitting....

very good book. way ahead of it's time in terms of format. even though i read it free, i'll probably buy it eventually just to have it in my collection.

Re: I'm quitting....

I have not smoked for 3 years now. I am even more stupid now, and I now I can not stand all the world cunts. I wake up every morning drink coffee really fast and smoke two cigarettes and I get a buzz. I flip upside and come back up and it adds 30 seconds to the initial buzz.

Great stuff!

Re: I'm quitting....
steve i used to be a heavy heavy smoker of that shit, i quit, i had 2, spent 6 weeks in hospital with canabis phsycosis and a further 2 years of heavy medication, people think canabis is a safe drug but i can tell u that people who think that are completely mis informed, the trouble with that is that thc isnt broken down with the liver well so it gets stored in your body fat so it keeps building and building up till the point where ur totally intoxicated with thc, dangerous stuff m8, ur doing the right thing and good luck 8)
Wow! You must have been quite the smoker!!!! I am firm beleiver that moderation is the key to EVERYTHING in your lifent . Dont over do it, and chances are you probably wont end up that way. I had no clue such a condition existed...but, I am happy that you were able to survive it.
Don't you just love dreaming again? ;)
I smoke on and off and I actually find that the dreams do my head in, especially at first after stopping. I sometimes wake up and for a few moments are not sure what was the dream and what is reality..

I think there is no doubt that heavy use of the weed has a detrimental effect on you, particuarly motivation and memory. The problem is that you dont realise how much it effects you until u actually stop for a week or more...

Re: I'm quitting....

not really. i'd still be smoking if i weren't on a mission to get a better job. working in restaurants is fucking lame, and i swore a few years ago i wouldn't be waiting tables by the time i turn 30. so this is the first step in achieving that goal.

Re: I'm quitting....

Re: I'm quitting....

i'm still quite content sitting around on the internet all day. but since i don't have it at home i find my self at the library 3-5 times a week now. plus i've been reading a lot.

some recent books:

non-fiction

Vengeance (story of the olympic murders in Munich, Germany 1972 and the hit team assembled to kill the terrorists responsible)

In Cold Blood (story of a quadruple homicide in kansas in 1959)

A Beautiful Mind (story about the eccentric mathmetician who suffered from schizophrenia - also a movie by the same title)

fiction

matchstick men bad trip south (and some others i can't remember the names of)

Re: I'm quitting....
running wont work for me. i've had a fucked up right ankle that hasn't allowed me to play sports since i was 15. a calcium deposit right on the ball of my outer ankle caused serious pain for a lot of years, and even since the operation to remove it, my ankle is very stiff.

reading seems to be the first logical choice, i'm actually going to the bookstore later today to grab a couple.
bah, your shit is stiff because you don't stretch it out. Why not try rock climbing? or golf? maybe swimming? swimming is the best way to get fit with doing so little. Water is your only resistance.

Very nice work buddy. You have cracked it if u have lasted this long. Are you at the stage where the thought of a toke just doesnt appeal anymore?
Are you at the stage where the thought of a toke just doesnt appeal anymore?
no, it still appeals. but til a find a real job, i'll remain on this side of the fence. i'm still very much a pot head and even the smell of it is stimulating. i will smoke again, no doubt about it, but this break was completely necessary.

Re: I'm quitting....

The doctor I went to see told me that... on the down side it then stuck in my brain so when I was trying to quit I was all too aware of those dates and actually slipped up in my third month and then carried on smoking like a real tosser:(
