number four ...

" One question I must ask is this, why did Mars overall temparature go up almost the identical amount as the Earth's? (This is according to all the measuring devices on the numerous probes that NASA has orbiting Mars right now.) It is called the SUN!! Our Sun goes through periods of expansion and contraction and right now it is in one of its expansion faze "

He is wrong because Kinky ... we are on Mars driving cars causing global warming. duh.

Re: "An Inconvenient Truth" banned in schools
This is awesome.
yeah, because I have done research. I spoke with professionals on both sides of the matter, I have read numerous credited reports and they all conclude there is no global warming that is primarily caused by humans.

The Earth as we know it goes in and out of all phases ... from Hot to Cold. Every year we get closer to the Sun, and further. There is your global warming. The sun expands causing hotter years, and yet shrinks to cause cooler years. 25-30 years ago "scientists" claimed the ice age is coming, and we are all going to do die. Where are those people now? How about the ozone layer. There are huge holes, and we are going to burn up. No more crops no more plants, no more life. Now we have Global Warming ... see a trend? I do ... It is called Bullshit.

have fun. I have more if needed ... next.

I don't know what your "experts" have been telling you but the hole in the Ozone has stopped growing because of the ban of CFCs, i.e. chemicals man was releasing into the atmosphere which had a negative effect. The same is true for acid rain, which you also don't hear much about anymore. Because caps were put in place limiting sulfur and nitrogen emissions.

So by your own example it has been show that we have a history of releasing toxins into the atmosphere that has negative effect, and when these practices are modified the damage is curbed. Why must we stick our heads in the sand when it comes to hydrocarbons and other GHGs?

Re: "An Inconvenient Truth" banned in schools

o that is right. the ozone self heals. how could i forget. i swear i remember once hearing that damage once done it could not be replaced. so i guess they were wrong. how about the ice age? what happened there? o wait we fixed that by going to global warming. i get it. i understand now. this is great. Earth's history has no impact what so ever. The fact we have gone in/out from ice ages does not matter. The fact that we have winters and summers does not matter. The fact that we humans have really no fucking clue what is going does not matter. Let's all freak out, kill cows, stop driving, stop going to work, stop eating, stop living and the world is saved.

Wow. that was easy. Why did they not just say that? What an easy solution. These people are so smart. I love it!

Dom, how about some sources for all these quotes you have?

Also, would it not be best to error on the side of caution in something that is potentially this massive in scale? I mean, its the friggen planet we're talking about. I'd rather cut back on consumption a bit now, and find out I was wrong later...rather than the other way around.

Re: "An Inconvenient Truth" banned in schools

Hold on ...

Warmer weather means better weather, means longer crop cycles, means happier people, means crop prices will drop, clean water will melt into the ocean which in general is fresh water.

should I continue?

Re: "An Inconvenient Truth" banned in schools

no because over-consumption of soil nutrients leads to dead farms (heance thefarmer's beign paid not to plant in certain seasons)

and water..... dude... go drink salt water. fresh water from glaciers flowing into the sea wont actually help us.
number two today ... i have more if you want. i always have more.

" The alarmists also enjoy a huge financial advantage over the skeptics with numerous foundations funding climate research, University research money and the United Nations endless promotion of the cause. Just how much money do the climate alarmists have at their disposal? There was a $3 billion donation to the global warming cause from Virgin Air’s Richard Branson alone. The well-heeled environmental lobbying groups have massive operating budgets compared to groups that express global warming skepticism. The Sierra Club Foundation 2004 budget was $91 million and the Natural Resources Defense Council had a $57 million budget for the same year. Compare that to the often media derided Competitive Enterprise Institute’s small $3.6 million annual budget. "

I to would like links to all this!! Big mistake in this one. Richard Branson hasn't donated anything yet, he has pledged future earnings, which could be zip!!
