JD's set is the same from that recent Triple J set.

JVM's set. very good. ShawnD64. It's chockerblock of minimal elements.

wow, digweed's set, for the first half, is just awesome. probably the most aggressive studio set i've heard from him in awhile. then, in the second half of the set...it just goes straight up weird. from the 33min mark on...its just strange, especially after such a bangin' start.

Minimal is all fine and good, but this mix just flatlined from the half-time mark onwards.

People ... isn't the Digweed set the same Tripple JJJ (or almost exactly, pretty much exactly!) set that's floating around in P&R?! I remember the weirdness from Pig & Dan - Banksy onwards. :shock: :lol:

Hey if the Digweed set is the triple J one you think that the JMV is his Triple J mix too?? The JVM Triple J set was aired 28/10/2006 it's him live @ Kosovo - 16 Sept it's a pretty minimal set too. (maybe)

Great sets this week. Kinda sucks though digweed's mix is a repeat. But JVM's is a really good.

I'm downloading the set from JVM right now, but it had better not be minimal or i'm deleting it. I'm getting so tired of hearing music with little or no melody.

yes i agree chloe. towards the end he loses me, but the majority of the mix i think is lovely. i trash most of the kiss mixes that run thru here... so i guess thats where i differ :p to each his own

I'm just getting tired of all the progressive dj's turning minimal. To me most minimal is crap. There is still good stuff but the lot of it to me sounds like electronic listening music. Not dancing music.

Give me some naughty basslines with some sick melodies over top and I'm flyin!

Lisle has gone that route, so has Fortier (minimal, that is), but I think they've managed to get their own sound going. In the case of JVM (from this mix), it just feel like too little too late. IMO anyway. Will wait to check out the Balance mix :D
