On friday I was in court for my third driving offence in 3 years, all for speeding. Having been caught doing 89 in a 70 I was slung before a magistrate to answer my case. I layed it on thick saying that my boss WAS going to fire me if I lost my lisence and it would mean exeptional hardship if I wasnt earning any money.

He wasn`t having any of it, the fucker banned me for 6 months.

Today I went out and bought myself a push bike, in 6 months time Im going to be fitter than Ive been in a long time, still, thats no concilation.

P.S I wont get fired, I own the company. :lol:

yea I'm on the border right now too; 1 more in the next 8, 9 months and I'm suspended for 60 days as well...except in MA it isn't 3 in 3 years, it's like 6 in about 8 years...speeding, accidents, etc. (mine are all speeding)..got me enough on the tickets, insurance hikes, and a "class" for an additional $100...they milk ya dry any way they can.

3 speeding tickets in 3 years and you got banned?!?! that is really harsh. here it takes something like 15 or 20 speeding tickets in a year to get your lisence revoked. granted they charge you up the ass for them, but thats still better than not being able to drive! i'd be fucked under the UK laws...

No, being a salesman youd expect me to know the roads I travel up and down everyday like the back of my hand. Well you would be right, I know them very well, even where all the speed cameras are. Its just that lately over here in the UK the police are now smart fuckers and have taken to putting mobile speed cameras in the back of plane white vans and parking them in places that are very difficult to see. This is the one that got me.

Maybe I should clear something up. Its not that you get caught 3 times in 3 years thats the problem, it`s accumulating 12 points on your lisence. For every speeding offence they give you 3 points. Them points stay on your lisence for 3 years.. so if in 3 years you get caught speeding 4 times, they ban you.

Pickles, this weekend I bought a push bike, taoday was the first time I biked to work, yes Im sweaty, but luckyly we a shower here. Im gonna be so fit.

I got about 5 mile to pedal, up one big long hill then down one big long hill. Then the same on the way home, exept the hill on the way home is one steep mother fucker. Lactic acid eat ya heart out.
