If i was asked who i thought was the most boring before last night i would have said John Creamer, but i just heard John Marsh on Digweeds show and then i remembered his warm up for Sasha at Fabric last year, if i set out to find the most boring tunes to mix the most boring set ever, i couldn't have done a better job than John Marsh did for Digweed's show last night, congratulations John :Bingo:

Re:: John Marsh is the most boring DJ i ever heard

^^^ I totally agree with you Chem. I have seen him so many times at Fabric warming up for both Digweed and Manlike and have to say that his style is very dull. His music just doesn't go anywhere and his Djing skills are that of a totally amateur.

#233641Post 3 of 81

i actually fell asleep at my computer desk last night, listening to that god forsaken set.

Re:: John Marsh is the most boring DJ i ever heard

Minidisc erased after 7.6 mins .... to think that Diggers cut short one of Luke Chables new remixes to give airtime to this joker

#233649Post 5 of 81

I have to agree with you 100% IMO I think the kissfm show's have lacked this year I think digweed needs to tighten up a bit....

#233697Post 9 of 81

#233713Post 11 of 81

Re:: John Marsh is the most boring DJ i ever heard

Yeah, I never heard of him either. Sounds like a good sleepytime set. Sometimes I like to listen to "boring" sets as I go to sleep at night.

#233830Post 16 of 81

jon marsh was the person behind the beloved, who done classics like sweet harmony and the sun is rising. he used to play up yer ronson quite a bit years ago, and then disappeared for a while. Thought his fabric cd was quite good, but do admit that warm up he done for sasha was pretty poor

#233907Post 17 of 81

Yes your? right! Marsh is boring. Remember his Fabric cd. Uuuuhhhh....

#233915Post 18 of 81

Re:: John Marsh is the most boring DJ i ever heard

I've only ever see him warm-up for Sasha at Fabric... but, yes, he bored me senseless. :Wasted:

I know that sucks. Diggers mix was actually pretty good then Jon Marsh's shitty mix came on and ruined the whole mix. Diggers mix, I give it a 8 and Jon Marsh's mix I give maybe 3. That is just being nice.

#233986Post 20 of 81

i didn't think the last hour of the fabric warm up for sasha was that bad, the previous 4 were crap tho :(

Yep, everyone in room 1 was waiting for him to stop. It was the worst warmup set I have ever heard.

well, i'm glad to see some other people agree with me. i get bashed over in soulseek for saying it was boring. I'm not going to mention any names u know who u r. I was just nt feeling his set. Diggers on the other hand was tops for me. Never dissappoints. I think its about time for Cusick to do a mix. Cusick rules. :CandyPop: So mr. digweed get on his ass about a mix.

#234289Post 23 of 81

I missed it, but i think I am glad after reading all this. Curious tho, what was so bad about it? the tracklist? no flow? bad mixing? I see [ms] isnt hosting it, lol.. must be bad. does anyone have the track list?

#234408Post 24 of 81

tom and chem sure are taking their time loading this weeks show up. put the joints down fellas. people are waiting. tick tock tick tock tick tock.

if u're crazy of sasha's sweet and tuneful way of spinning there is no wonder u're bored with marsh. heard marsh live 2Y ago and wasn't disappointed as I'd known what to expect.

#234645Post 30 of 81

finally heard it.. not a fan. surprised something so boring was on Diggers show. This mix went NOWHERE!

#234702Post 31 of 81

Well, don't think I'll be downloading this guest mix anytime soon!

Goes to show that it's not always how good you are at DJ'n... it's who you know! :?

#234708Post 32 of 81

I didn't think it was that bad only listened to it once so far and I'm still awake.

its 381 times better than that warren set that is floating around

#234934Post 33 of 81

not only is it boring. these tracks are fucking shit ! wtf happened here?

#234951Post 34 of 81

Re:: John Marsh is the most boring DJ i ever heard

A little harsh guys...........

Let's see some of you guys do a mix and post it. Then we can see how well you mix and what records you choose. Everyone has a opinion, that is fine. I just think some of the comments are a little harsh. I have heard craig richards play these same tracks and you love him for it.

The mix is laid back....keep in mind that he is a opening DJ. His job is not to destroy the floor before the main DJ gets on. Fabric does pretty well at choosing Res. DJs. I am sure they picked him for a reason.

Long live Terry Francis!

If people like laid back deep house this is for them. DL and give it a shot.

Let the flames begin I guess.

#235228Post 38 of 81

I understand that it isn?t easy to warm up for the big dj?s. Everybody in the club is waiting for big shots to begin.

Paul Mojo and Margaret who warmed up for sasha the last 2 times did a much better job then John Marsh, IMO.

#235333Post 39 of 81

THere are a lot better warm-up dj then john marsh. Cusick and Paolo Mojo and Tim Skinner are just to name a few. Down with Marsh.

#235350Post 40 of 81

i could do without some of the vocals...but this set has some nice tracks on it try it again...or at least listen to the whole thing... edit: i can see why everyone would hate him if he played this stuff opening for sasha, that would be the club's fault IMO
