Re: Gas Prices in your area

Just hit $3.19 here this morning (for Premium)... PI$$ED

fyi to all those who are driving cars over 100,000... try using Premium gas... not only is it good for your engine.... you will be pleasantly surprised at your mileage going up. In my car, I'm getting nearly 45+ miles to the tank and it easily offsets the price difference of paying Regulard vs. Premium

that is a lot for gas. I guess our biggest problem here is the rate it went up. 30-50 cents in a coupls of days. And the worse part is that we are not making more money in our salaries so it really takes a bit to get use to. Here in S Florida, it is so spread out that a normal person can drive over 30 miles to work one way. And if you live or work in the western areas of Ft Lauderdale or Miami and not near the coast, there is no mass transit to use. So you have to drive. Carpooling rocks!!!!!!

I think BMW has plans to mass produce hydrogen cars by 2010. would be nice if everyone else was doing the same.

Re: Gas Prices in your area

we're at about $2.75-2.80/gallon in St. Louis, which I think is obnoxious. Sounds like we're getting off fairly easy compared to some of you, though...

Re: Gas Prices in your area

thank god i have a company truck.. and we only have to put gas in my gf's truck.. i rarely use my personal vehicle. these gas prices are just ridiculous.. we will never see gas under 2.00 again.. its as if they raise it and raise it, then drop it a bit so we get a sense of relief.. but they drop it to higher than it was before anyway.. there has to be an alternate way to power cars in the very near future.. jesus, people that make mininum wage cant even afford to operate a car.. it's sickening.

Take for example that you probably won't find anyone from San Francisco, Chicago, or New York City complaining about the price of gas since they hardly ever use a car.

of all of my friends in sf (proper.. i.e., mission, telegraph hill etc...) only 2 have cars of which they only use to drive out into "the country" on an odd weekend. i'm not counting the peeps in oakland, berkeley, palo alto etc.. that makes 2 cars out of roughly 24 people.

on the other hand americans no nothing about economy cars  and ecology  time to change your truck into something smaller! ;)

Seriously, in Europe you hardly see any of these huge machines. Also people tend to buy family cars and drive the whole family together to work/school/shoping etc. So it's also a matter of habits not only distance...
