It just doesn't feel the same here in my home. I'm cooking dinner. I haven't even touched a microwave in over 10 days with the vacation. it's just not the same now. I'm bored. jibs & mj defo helped keep the action going around that place. imo the music at WMC is just a bonus for the real reason you're down there... just to get away and go absolutely fucking berserk with a bunch of kickass people. that's what a real vacation is about. I had a fucking blast meeting up and chilling with everyone, and I wish I could've spent as much time with the other 25 people as I did with jibs & mj. it's such a shame I only had a chance to hang out with some people for just an hour. :what must be why I took so many goddamned pictures of people this year. (her legs were over his shoulders in the pool!) []convincing (it wasn't hard) neoee to leave a party and his friends to take me to his hotel for an hour or two for free drinks []watching two naked girls on the beach at sunrise convince a construction crew to get naked in the ocean with them []everyone at the tampahousemusic party [/list] there's gotta be so much more... but those are what come to mind. fun times

Has anyone ever heard of a band called Boom Boom Satellite? Jeez, we saw them live at the Beatport/Remix hotel/M3 Sessions. Id never heard of them before but was blown away by how good they are. I even got talking to thier manager, Im not sure that was a good thing though, I was a little mullered. Seriously though, if you havent already you should check them out.

I want to go back...but not even for the music. Out of the 4 parties I attended, only 1 was worth a damn. But spending time with you lot, trying to get MJ to put his fucking hair straightener down long enough to leave the hotel room, was more fun than I've had in years and years.

The trip got progressively better the longer I was there.. I couldnt even imagine how bad ass the closing party at Space was.

Other memerable notes:

Hot ass women everywhere Amazing weather Movim day party with JT Donaldson, Qburns, Patrick Turner, Chuck Love, Etc. Zabiela at National hotel Mercuryserver Day party (It was good to meet some of the moderators, you guys are as crazy as i expected)

I will never miss another WMC again and I strongly suggest anyone who has not gone.. get there.

The anticlimax is shity, Ive done Ibiza 7 times but Ive had more fun in Miami than I have ever had there. It cost me probably over twice as much though, that place is so damn expensive.

Worth every penny though.

sasha & digweed at space with a special unannounced encore on the terrace until 12:15 Tuesday

i have seen these guys a boat load of times and after the yacht party i thought is was going to tough to top but the terrace set was fucking incredible. ill write more about it later when my brain recovers. off to hernan for the closing party.

jibbed was right next to us for the whole thing too.

ps MJ i was trying to get in touch with you because we had an extra ticket for the yacht party, next year bud! rickyfuller is stil retarded

after lee and his two hour acid/tech frenzy the pope was making his way to the booth. man i cant tell you how goddamn cool this was guys. john took over in proper form once again. this fucking guy is the MAN!!! diggers lays down the sickest godamn beats. thats it!!! he got about 1 hour in and sasha had his ableton and even a stool to conduct busniess on. well lets just say he got the bizzniss done too. these guys are not human when they do extended sets together. i'll be buzzin from this party and the solo diggers night last thursday, for months and months to come.

mikeman i cant tell you how fucking empty i felt when you left. :( next time you need to stay as long as i do cos splitting up will never ever be allowed again. i didnt get much of a break in between seeing you off in a cab til i was at the catalina listening to Pole Folder play. but thats another story....

Its so phenomenal to see the way people who have never met each other in their entire lives bonding like they've hung out forever.

Kinetic - wicked post bro, I saw all the pictures and all I could feel was the muggy weather that is Miami.

I for one will give my right leg to make it out to Miami next year. I guess a little catalyst such as this was required to accelerate / add more motivation to my decision making.

You guys truly exemplify the essence that mercuryserver was ever made to be.

Sickest WMC EVER... Great Music Everywhere I went...

Thursday = Digweed on Pawn Shop - Excellent Set Top Quality / Steve Lawler on Space Terrace - No Words can describe that steve had on the terrace, big lost lagoons of memories, flashes from all over.

Friday - Hallucination at the Marlin - Unbelivable Music and Excellent Vibe / Sander Kleineberg on Space Terrace - DESTROYED THE TERRACE, sickest happiest music you can never imagined, remixes and samples on every song, vocals,,, at the end he got to crazy for my taste.

Saturday - Sleeped for 20hrs.

Sunday - School of Degenrates - got their at 1pm and Hawtin, Luciano and Loco DIce got the craziest croud of the Conference on the trip of their lives. People were going crazy with the music. / SASHA BOAT PARTY - this party need a thread by itself, Desyn started up with his uplifting electro on got all the boat on ithier feets. Then Sasha came into the decks and for me it was the Finest three hours of music I have ever heard. It was as the last hour on Space Terrace but this set was for three hours. He got all the boat high on breaks crazy dancing all over. Best Set and Best Moment of the Conference / DANNY HOWELLS - at 8pm I was at 1000rpm and headed out inmediatly to Mr.Howells Party. A trip, the warmup was excellent, and suddenly he started palying some dirty music. Crazy, Crazy. I have no more memoriees about that night, left at 8am.

Monday - S&D ON SPACE - got their at 2am when Sasha was just starting, on fromm their o My God, Sasha started on his breaks that I like so theirs no problem, then digweed hours got things on the zone. Sasha Second Hour was when Hell got out... remeber holdens "the Wheel" and the Darkest Star sounded unbeleivable on a good sound system.

Terrace Set- was discussed already, highest peak of the conference. I am heading out to work and I dont plan to go out in 3 months. CONCLUSION= Space is the Place. Next Year I am getting their 5 day pass, best parties and best crowds. Cover were high, "40 for lawler, 80 for sander and 70 for S&D" but you get 200% return on the investment. The High Cover filters out the gangster drug up people space usuallly attracts, and it only leaves AMAZING BEATIFULL GIRLS and the Craziest Crowd in MIami.

You should have seen my unused paraphenalia collection I brought back from Amsterdam... and I dont thin k ihit customs coming back in, but I dont remember anything after getting on the plane just after eating 2 space cakes, an ambien, and a glass or three or red wine. Its really quite something to instantly be in your manhattan apartment from amsterdam, (especially when you had to change planes in frankfurt.... :)

I'm fuckin back in work today and have yet to be able to do a thing other than read this thread and daydream of Miami....but I get some stuff done. Royally sucks!

So a full review of Miami will be coming later, but for now:

It was awesome meeting everyone down there. Nat and I had a blast and undoubtedly our favorite year ever. It was like meeting up with a bunch of old friends. Even the ones we'd only met down there for the first time, it still felt like we knew each other forever. Good times. :D

One funny thing from down there, although I didn't make it to Sasha & Digweed at Space (I'll be catching them at Crobar NYC Friday night ;) ), my wife and I were sitting in front of Tides yesterday having a coffee before our flight and all of a sudden I look over and there's Sasha and his wife walking in right after his set at Space. Was quite a surreal moment there. :shock:
