Re: New Digweed Renaissance CD - Transitions

I've listened to the set about 4 times...It's strong, but HC's Sequential disc two imo is stronger

Re: New Digweed Renaissance CD - Transitions

I'm still addicted to playing this. I leave for Thailand in a few days, this will be on my mp3 player and my mate will want to borrow it...

There's gonna be some fights going on over this I just know it.

Awesome piece of work. I put it on to sleep to last night and found so many more intricacies to it. I can't give this album enough praise.

Re: New Digweed Renaissance CD - Transitions

I have the beatport version with the gaps in between the tracks and the mix is unlistenable. I will never buy anything from that site again.

email them, they'll give you a refund. boycoting them is a bit hasty without at least contacting them first, dont you think??

#652655Post 95 of 114

Re: New Digweed Renaissance CD - Transitions

I agree boycotting them is a bit harsh, but I was REALLY disappointed and angry when I found the gaps. I'll drop them an email to see what happens.

Re: New Digweed Renaissance CD - Transitions

Played it about 8 or 9 times now and starting to get bored, bring on Sasha Instant Live :p

Re: New Digweed Renaissance CD - Transitions

usually if you burn a cd, there is an option to take out the gaps in the tracks, now sometimes it doesn't work, like on my computer when I burn a cd of mp3 files. I go and convert them to wav files and THEN burn the cd with the gaps taken out...and it works brilliantly.

Re: New Digweed Renaissance CD - Transitions

beatport have replaced the file with a continuous one. if you downloaded one with gaps, email their support and they will add the corrected file to your library for download.

Re: New Digweed Renaissance CD - Transitions

got tired of waiting on my hard copy, so I bought a dl. Haven't taken it out of my car stereo in 4 days. Loving this cd, it's really really good.

Re: New Digweed Renaissance CD - Transitions

listened to the promo copy floating about yesterday.

it was pretty good, not something i'd listen to all the time, but i'll probably pick it up eventually.

Re: New Digweed Renaissance CD - Transitions

beatport added the file without the gaps. Much better, thanks for letting me know about this.

Re: New Digweed Renaissance CD - Transitions

Gave it a second listen today and liked it even more than the first time. Digweed's kicking ass right now. A great mix cd and his live shows have been great too.

Re: New Digweed Renaissance CD - Transitions

Got the album yesterday.

Awesome mixing and track selection.

Yet another hit for Mr.Digweed, consistent as ever.

Cheers!

Re: New Digweed Renaissance CD - Transitions

its def a good CD, dark twisted club music, mixed wtih class. he is playing a pacha, ibiza party with faithless for renaissance next week, which should be tremendous

Re: New Digweed Renaissance CD - Transitions

I found it to be a very good mix...better than his Fabric mix, which was already very solid. Always loved Digweed's mixing, and it's stellar as usual. First half really kicks ass...but the track selection in the second half loses me a bit. It's good, but not in my top list. But then again, I'm just not as interested in progressive as I used to be...deep techno and tech house is doin it for me these days.

Re: New Digweed Renaissance CD - Transitions

Instant Live was a big let down for me sadly :(

#666423Post 109 of 114

Re: New Digweed Renaissance CD - Transitions

so which do you like better chem

trans or live.....that is the ????

#666429Post 110 of 114

Re: New Digweed Renaissance CD - Transitions

Transitions is a better mix imo but i've played it so many times now im bored to death with it. The first 25 minutes of Instant Live is excellent too but most of the rest is just comatose. So i would have to say Transitions.

Re: New Digweed Renaissance CD - Transitions

Have not been impressed with Digweed's kiss fm sets of late, and the snippets of transitions I heard on juno didn't really move me, will pass on this one I think........

Well they are exactly like his Transitions sets of late because Transitions IS his Kiss show. And i agree Greg, i don't even bother listening to it anymore but i was pleasantly surprised by the Transitions CD, the first 30 minutes are boring as hell but after that it goes off, good stuff.

Re: New Digweed Renaissance CD - Transitions

Listening again, this is a classic. (P.S. Apologies if this is a misleading bump!)
