mine was my first job ever, working at burger king, it was awful, they paid me 5.75/ hr. and i had to make sandwhiches and shit for hours. The manager would come over to me w/ his stopwatch and say shit like "lets time your whopper making skills". Overall it lasted about 2 months and i quit. Since then i havnt looked back.

Worst job I ever had was working for a non profit environmental action group in high school. From 5 to 10pm monday through friday I had to go door to door and solicit donations, pass out fliers, and speak about whatever ecological disaster was going on in the world that day - I was basically about four spots below those greenpeace lunatics you see storming oil rigs and shit. Think of every "liberal tree hugger" stereotype you can imagine and you've got about 1/2 of my coworkers down pat.

i once did retail at an abercrombie and fitch.... lame mall store, lame mall people all wearing the exact same shit and only working there to get a discount on crap ass clothing.... you had to spritz the store every so often with abercrombie cologne, stock and fold clothes and listen to the same god awful muzak music for hours.... ugh. had it been a paul smith or diesel store i might feel different about the whole "retail" experience.

worked at target, for almost a year, on the backroom team, so i worked early mornings stocking the shelves. hated it. never again. i can barely stand even going inside any targets now, i just get this horrible feeling from them :lol:

hehe, i know how it is man, i worked at target also, always having to go around with that PPD thing or whatever the fuck its called and scan shit, target is basically slave labor. I hated that place.

a tie between telemarketing, having to cold call businesses selling pitney bowes postage meteres and QVC subscriptions, and of course the quota was impossible to meet, and had to hear daily bullshit about why we werent selling enough...and working at a steal heat-treating plant, raking red hot parts coming off a belt of a 1,500 degree furnace, breathing black dust particles

about the job is as an owner/manager/waiter/cooker/bar tender/cashier... well not exactly cause the owner is my brother, but the fucker let me all his stuff, it really really sucked ass since hes the one making the money. but i cant complain cuase he owns a club too and he let me play there from time to time, so that would be the good part.

worked in a pharmacy..had to take out all products and move to another warehouse. Then clean it because old warehouse had a rodent problem. Worst summer job ever.

Cleaning bathrooms at a state park for the Summer. Had to wake up at 6:45AM. Oh the messes people left... I hated all people that Summer. Plus my boss was an overweight pos, who apparently had a heart attack every Summer.

I've been around the block; each job reminded me of the dark side of humanity...

Tried insurance for about 2+ months "training"...when I finally got into the "field" I was up, out and home in an 8-day span (had Sunday off), ~130 hours...no thanks; I kind of like having a life.

Sales same thing...got sold into the whole pitch, basically was going door-to-door in random neighborhoods selling promotional materials running 13-15 hour days again...that lasted 2 weeks...ironically about a year later when I was in retail at a mall, I saw one of the girls I worked with come in with her partner (trainee?)...apparently she never made it up the ladder within the 3-6 months claimed on the "quicker" part :CrackUp:

Did McDonald's as well...had fun with that in a twisted sense.

Retail; s'why I don't shop it anymore unless I know the item is a good deal ;)

Others I've had I actually liked and kicked ass at...:Naughty:

sous chef for nobu/coolfish group. sucked ass. working all weekend, and i mean like 9 am to midnight all three days in a hot ass kitchen while being on your feet all day in a room where about 3 people spoke english. tough, but i learned to cook insanely.

the worst was pushing buggys as the grocery store. they didnt give 2 shits how hot or cold, humid or rainy it was. they wanted buggies. in about a 9 hr shift, i spent about 6-7 hrs pushin. because of my school schedule, i worked in the morning with the 'head buggy pusher' (some old dude that had been there FOREVER, so they kinda had ot give him some stupid title) that would breathe down my neck all the time, telling me i am pushing the buggies wrong & to do it like him (with half a brain & peg leg limp).

The worst job I have ever had was for a siding company in Terre Haute, IN (the arm pit of america as quoted by Steve Martin the comedian". I was on full commision and I had to call "leads" out of the white pages! Talk about cheap! My job was to sell siding to them for their home over the phone... I sat at a desk that looked like it was from the pioneer days and had a rotary dial phone! Rotary dial and I'm suppose to call about 100 people in 6-8 hours.. I would always mess up on the last number and have to go thru the whole process again. Worse of all I had to ring a bell whenever I could get some poor chump to buy and my fat, and I mean Orca fat boss would woddle her big ass into the office to get the information. She was hidious and smoked all the time! I didn't make it much longer then a month! :)
