Just wondering...I feel like NYE isnt as big of an event this year. My friends are all procrastinating making plans till the last minute which doesnt usually happen.

A lot of people are even saying they are staying in which I find strange!

i think for the first time in ages im staying at home and drinking for NYE, costs less, nobody has to be the DD... and we have tons of liquor stocked up!

^See thats the beauty of living in the city, cab fare to the hot spots is only a few bucks ...but rarely even do that unless its freezing.

I've got friends coming in on friday. We are going to destroy all pittsburgh has to offer... all weekend.

well i was leaning towards getting a cab since im only about 15 minutes from downtown portland, but still decided to stay at home and take it (somewhat) easy this year. i did go out on christmas eve and get absolutely hammered (and strongly regretted it christmas morning and half of the afternoon) so im not too bothered about going out again this weekend.

Going upstate new york to drink shitloads of champagne and cook all night long with my favorite people...and let my dog chase some squirrels, too!

I did the same thing, except I drank some Absynth we brought back from Spain... Things got wacky. Needless to say I didn't feel great Christmas day. We're taking the tube to the Giant Village thing.

I need to help my mom move to make sure it doesn't get violent...

My NYE plans: drive 3 hours + go drinking with mom + wake up hangover + pack a uhaul + ignore family tension + ensure family safety + drive 90 minutes + unpack uhaul + drive 2 hours home

definitely doesn't compare to the intoxicated years in the past. maybe at least I'll get a NYE kiss from my mom :not me:

prolly not doing dick, but that's OK. NYE is pure amateur night anyway. As a seasoned partier, being surrounded by noobs who view NYE as their one opportunity to get blasted and make asses of themselves before 9 pm is no longer my idea of a good time.

Plus, I'm going to a bash on the 30th that should go well into the morning of the 31st, so an evening at home might be just what the doctor ordered...

well for the first time in about a decade i will be having a rather quiet NYE. i'm not playing at any parties til noon on new years day this year nor did i wish to. looks like i'm treating my lady to a very fancy dinner at a place called La Terrazza (i think thats the name of it) where meals are very expensive and delicious. we'll be drinking out of our 1.75 Grey Goose before and after dinner and eventually make it back home to eat some rolly's and get it on til the wee hours of the morning. i'm really looking forward to it. romance is better than chaos this year. just not feeling the 2-3 day party binge like i normally do for nye. guess thats me getting old too.

Funny too, because it's on a Saturday this year which would theoretically mean a great night for partying and then some. But doesn't look like the case this year.

Friday I work then jet straight off to Boston for Max Graham afterhours. Sadly, Saturday I work too (new job, so as the rookie I get shafted a bit), so I'll ring in at work, then who knows...probably keep it local and a somewhat early night as I have to work Sunday evening as well...but then get the next 3 days off in a row :twisted:

I was supposed to be playing at my favorite local bar with some of my friends (including Hafid, I believe), but it's been cancelled. It's the same place we all spent NYE last year and it was a blast. I was really looking forward to it.

There isn't really anywhere else in town that will have music (and people) that I'm into. So, I'm not really looking forward to any of my remaining options, and I don't see the point in doing something that I don't really want to do just to say that I did something on NYE.

Maybe I'm just in a bad mood, but I'm really not looking forward to NYE this year. I could easily just stay home. Plus, my birthday is shortly after NYE and the last few years I've had the blues on bday because of partaking in too many party favors on NYE.

Add me to the "old" list as well I guess. :|

Unfortunately i'll be mising the massive gigs here cuz they just happen to so far away from my city ..unfortunately i'll be missing g-pal and anna maria x ,also saeed younan in addition to v-sag :( ..but i think i'll have to live with it ..probably gonna meet up with friends get wasted big time crash into some local djs gig or any party that comes in our way ..thats it

same thing over here, i'e searched for decent parties everywere. but nothing looks good at all. some of my friends are going to some german shranz techno gig :roll: some others to a hardtek-acid party about an hour drive away. and all i wanted was a nice prog party, max 2.5hr away from home and i've found nothing. now i know prog isn't to big over here but you would espect atleast 1 party reasonably close:evil:

I'm going to paris instead (it's a 1.5hr train ride from brussels and only 30?), with my gf. to see the fireworks on the eiffeltour. then some sightseeing (it's her first time in paris) and finally find somewere nice to get a drink and party on with the people there.

Danny Howells at System in Toronto (10-5am). Then off to a loft party for an after party. Then off to 270 Spadina to catch Sean Miller, Chus and Ceballos (Jan 1. 10pm-noon) Will find sleep in between somewhere. Fingers crossed that these olds bones can survive it all.

For the first time ever i've actually invited peepz to my place, should have some 20 folks coming over for drinks, snacks & music. If I have enough money I'll pick up a 2nd hand amp to which i can connect a decent 4 speakers, and if they like me to I'll do some dj-ing on NYE. I'll keep playing till everyone is gone :D

I think this will be a nice party....
