Now i have never tried this drug before in my life and i have been addicted to edm for 4 years now , but there is somthing i dont get ! Does E really make u forever interpret the music you hear in a different way ... I don't mean when u just took the pill . I mean some reviews of sets or comps i see seem quite different from what i would think ..ofcourse i take into account the point that different people have different tastes ..but some reviews are even hard to understand !!

Re: Does 'E' make a difference!!

With the exception of the highly addictive and the damn right scaggy . I think everybody should try everything once . But to ensure get a smooth ride, for the first time make sure ure with ppl who you trust and who have taken it a few times before also it will help if ure in a club you know just incase you get a bit dissorientated . Also and this is very important make sure the pills a good one .

Re: Does 'E' make a difference!!

Another hint how to take Extasy best and this thread is locked..you can write about what Extasy is but no drug reports or hints like "Everybody should use it once" It?s illegal and your personal decision whether to take it or not but this board isn't a platform to share experiences, especially as we have younger members aboard as well. Thanks for understanding this in advance.

Yes "E" does make a difference. I couldn't imagine these boards being around if Encryption wasn't working on them constantly to ensure we have the best possible forum.

Re: Does 'E' make a difference!!

Dragon, I listened to the music long before I ever took a pill. I can't say it changed my view in regards to the music. It did make me change my views in other areas though. Particularly the way in which I saw myself. This has carried on since my first experience, in a positive way.

I do think it would change the way you hear the music if you weren't already so into it, but being that you are I wouldn't expect any real differences. Although while you are on it, as with almost any substance your perceptions are enhanced. But for you I wouldn't expect the change you spoke of.

I look at it this way: It allows you to know things better, if you didn't already. You already know the music, else you wouldn't be here. I didn't know myself well, so it did have an effect for me in that area, if that makes any sense.

Re: Does 'E' make a difference!!

IMHO, it is a distraction. I havn't take it in a while, but I remember not being very focused on anything while under the influence. It might have sounded good at the time, but I took nothing away from the experience.

I said YES like on the second reply. It made a difference long after I stopped taking anything.

Ditto. I stopped taking it because there was no depth to the musical experience. The joy you feel while you're rolling is hollow and you walk away not remember anything about the music except that it sounded good at the time. Waste of money and time IMO.

See what Extasy does to your brain? :p

#521314Post 24 of 74

Re: Does 'E' make a difference!!

I'd listened to quite a few years worth of electronic music before i first took it, i remember hearing the remix of jumbo by underworld and it sounded so lush, i got lost in the sounds, it did actually sound better, more absorbing, sort of like the music was slightly in the future and knew exactly what my brain wanted to hear, so it sounded just "right".

My girl is older than me, and she used to cane it when she was younger, and now she's got depression and a shit attention span, so just remember that no experience will leave you untouched, both in a good and bad way.

Try having a nasal full of poppers first, and see if you find that you enjoy the music anymore whilst on that before trying something heavier.

I think alcohol was the problem . And the intoxicating experience of watching Utd beat a pisspoor team on a poigniant day at Old Trafford

Re: Does 'E' make a difference!!

It does affect the way you listen to music. Any psychoactive drug would, and pills mess around with your emotional state. Well, just think beer goggles after too many drhinks  :what

I think there are different levels of appreciating music when you're on it though. Some people are more into the mad rush that is so synergestc with drum rolls and synths  while some feel the music resonate in them in a different way.

As for reviews ... whenever I read a review of a party that differed from my experience, I assume they were all too fucked to know better, makes things much easier

But tabs are the way to go

of course E made a differnce. He created MS !! Forever changed the way I listen to EDM.

Re: Does 'E' make a difference!!

boring. imo.

i would rather have a 2x4 stuff'd up my ass, and have people use it as a plank to jump off. there are no additive or subtractive benefits. all reports state "E" is safe. Fucking liars. E is "cut" with the worse stuff in life. aka garbage.

i would never recommend anyone to dable in anything. all it takes is one time and person's life is ruined. i do not think it is worth it. if you made it this far, stay that way. and congrats.

^^^true...but to each theor own in some fashion. But I can't see how 1 little pill is that good for $20...hell, for $20 I can buy about 4-5 drinks, and the comedown isn't as severe afterward

Re: Does 'E' make a difference!!

Music is some form has been around looooooooooooooooooong before X. To even suggest that drugs change the music is a unintelligent thing to think.

It is not the music that changes. It is you.

Lets examine some facts.

 1. you listen to a song.
 2. you like said song
 3. you take a mind altering substance that is completely foreign to your body. drugs are as natural to the body as putting mustard in the gas tank of your car.
 4. you listen to said song again while under the influence of of a mind altering drug
 5. you think song sounds "different"
 6. you say to to others man that song sounds different and sooooooooooo good
 7. you come out of your mind altering state
 8. you hear said song again and it sounds one of two ways (a)the same (b) not the same

Also take into consideration that the actual song and its presentation do not change. The song will always sond the same as it was recorded onto the cd.

So given the evidence can you decide what is changing?

Re: Does 'E' make a difference!!

Drugs ARE bad for you . Alcohol is bad for you . Ciggarettes are bad for you . Fast food is bad for you . Working is bad for your health too . Too much salt is bad .Music too loud is bad .Kids can destroy ure life . The list does go on and on and on . What suits one person dosn't suit another . Branding something illegal dosn't make it worse for you than something else . However the wrong drug with the wrong person at the wrong moment can ruin their lives in a night . Extasy can make you attach a memory with a track making it special in your mind forever . But one bad night can ruin ure perception of life and the music . These sort of drugs are mood enhancers and can fuck you up in a good way or a bad way . It is a risk . The odds are in your favour but if your happy and you enjoy your night anyway it is up to you if you think the risk is worth taking . I do appologise for saying everyone should try everything once because it is a gamble and you have alot to lose if it dosn't pay off . Alot of us have grown out of it and passed through the stage with fond memories but i know alot of mates who havn't ..

This thread has made me think of them a little bit more and also change my stance on the subject . One thing i have noticed is those who are fed up of how their lives are to start with tend to come off worse . If ure happy go lucky and all things bad bounce off you ,you tend to do o.k.

Re: Does 'E' make a difference!!

^^^ my thoughts exactly. while i don't condone the use of illegal drugs, if you are the type of person that can control yourself well, and can get your hands on some good clean stuff, then i would say by all means try it. i know that it has changed my life and couldn't even imagine who i would be had i never have had some of the experiences i've had. i'd prolly be a little fuckin' peckerhead, cheesedick motherfucker. but of course, there is a line, when too much is too much, and it's all too easy to let things get out of control. imo, i think that the benefits outweigh the negatives... IF you're the right type of person.

Re: Does 'E' make a difference!!

how anyone can think drugs make your life better in any way is irresponsible and has not tasted life in its real beauty

drugs are manufactured therefore anything you feel while under the influence is manufactured as well

#521404Post 36 of 74

Re: Does 'E' make a difference!!

^^ cdj .. i can understand ure stance on drugs , you are a clean living guy who values family and the bible . ^^

But man made , proccessed and refined over the years is how u describe drugs .

That's how i describe religion

Just kidding ..This ain't that kind of discussion

Some ppl seem to be heading for self destruction and misery .These are the people that should stay away from alcohol , gambling and drugs. I put those 3 in the same category for they are equal on the damage they do to lives and also the harmless affects they have on others . More people are heading towards an early grave due to junkfood than because of what's taken on the dancefloors. Same can be said of tobbaco . I know I'm twisting things a bit to suit my argument . But alcohol tobbaco and unhealthy eating are what's doing me damage at the moment . These are the things in my life i'm trying hardest to give up ( alcohol I am willing to suffer till my dieing day ) . E's and coke I am growing out of and with exceptions of a few nights a year i can get by perfectly well without . But the things that society sees as acceptable are slowly killing me

#521407Post 37 of 74

Re: Does 'E' make a difference!!

my view on drugs does not come from the Bible BTW

it is just a fact that drugs and for that matter 90% of the food we eat today is manufactured and that which is foregn to the body can not do the body good hence the decline in overall health of the entire world from the food.

Factor in the harsh effects and alterations of drugs to the body, it is self evident that they are not good in their nature

You can't forget the memory and the experience you have with the E so you understand and listen to music with the reminiscense of that experience.
