After listening to the Sander set, I would say I could do without hearing Mr. Roboto. But I still think it is a good mix (not excellent), some of the songs on his set he played at ICON in Orlando a couple of days before and this gives me an opportunity to hear some of those again. I've been listening to his sets for quite some time now and being able to actually see him play was a good experience for me. I missed him the first time around because of work! To me it's more about the music than it is about the dj, granted he is a good dj but the track selection makes all the difference in the world. This set was again good for me because I can associate some of my night with it.

btw..listening to him on frisky right now! It sounds good, is anyone recording it? Or will it be made available in the future?

not to be a punk.. but i relistened to the set from front to back to try to find some good music... and i couldn't

and i am gonna make a vote for mr. roboto being one of the worst tracks ever made. although some of the others were pretty close

so the two quotes above tell me two things.

sander interviews well
sander is a nice guy - and he likes his own music

I don't question either of those. But they don't say anything about the music. Interview oakenfold and he'll say he pushes the music etc etc.
I just think he's really been out of touch with the music these days.

The reason I haven't been to any of his nights is because I walked out on him about 3 times in a row then stopped going back. He spun some of the most amazing sets I've ever heard at arc (like the april set), but I haven't heard much from him since. The everybody cds are kinda cheesy, etc. Every now and then I hear some good stuff from him, but it's not like back in the day when he was putting out pure quality.

and it's hard for me to say this because he was my favorite dj, to the point that I even had a crush on the guy (and I'm straight). I even managed to harass him a few times all cracked out - which I will say he reacted quite politely to when he probly shouldn't have.

all in all it's hard for me to say this but he just isn't doing it for me anymore... and i will say the ny scene does kinda suck these days (can you say superclub?), but it's not like there isn't good music out there - there is tons of solid stuff being made

So to put it simply, Sander doesnt play my kind of groove/thang/style 100% of the time, however, when he plays "my" kind of music (stuff I like/love) he does it with 200% and a blowjob thrown in there for "dessert".

Although I would prefer an all night blowjob, the teasing gets tiring at a certain point and I just wanna come... if he could schedule his kitschier stuff for my re-coop/post-coital smoke breaks then everyone could be happy. And by everyone I mean me and my personalities.
