With the first of Sasha's Fundacion Tokyo nights kicking off this evening, so begins a big weekend for Japanese DJ and producer, Osamu M, who will be on warm-up duties tonight at Womb and also pairing with John Digweed tomorrow night on the radio.

Over the last 18 months the Japanese DJ and producer, has been quietly making a name for himself with releases on Alternative Route, Swift Records and most recently Bedrock, having taken on the formidable task of remixing Guy Gerber's "Stoppage Time", the results of which can now be heard on Guy Gerber - Stoppage Time (The Far East Remixes).

Responsible for some big progressive bootleg remixes (Underworld's "Two Months Off" and Cassa de X's "Elastic Reality"), found popping up in the CD wallets of top prog jocks the world over, this Saturday will also see Osamu M feature his fifth guest mix on John Digweed's Transitions show.

Tune into John Digweed's Kiss100/Transitions show featuring Osamu M this Saturday November 12th 3am-5am (GMT).

i personally haven't heard his mixes, but always looking forward to any of JD's guests, when he has djs sometimes quite unknown for me. and i'm liking it every time. but could you tell me what kind of music is Osamu into? was he residing at proton radio?

I loved his last Kiss mix and his productions are top notch but man was this new mix a big let down.

It is a sad day when Osamu is jumping on the electro bandwagon, and what's up with closing with Aftermath? That is one song I don't ever need to hear again.

What a shame to be reading all these bad reviews. WTF with every prog house DJ jumping ship to tech? I could understand if a few of them got lured away or needed some new inspiration, but this rampant me-too-ism reeks of a fad.

Maybe prog was a fad too? :NotMe: All I know is it sounded a fuck of alot better to my ears. These days a prog DJ is becomming a real commonity.

I understand the comments. But I want to play what sounds best for me at the time in order to progress as a dj.

I am sorry that the set this time didn't satisfy many of you. But I will always be changing to progress so I really hope you guys can understand and accept my sound.

My sincere thanks for the honest comments and I will keep playing my best every time.

He has definatly taken a turn for the worst. Its a shame really he used to be a really great dj. It seems like all our favorite djs are changing in the wrong way. They can call it progression or whatever...I think it is a bunch of crap.

You aint lying...this tech or whatever you wanna call it is sounds like total garbage...Its a shame really that the music the djs are playing these days is painful to the ears.

Osamu....for f*ck's sake man you are one of the most talented producers in the world right now. Your original songs are leauge above this electro garbage you played on this set. PLEASE I beg of you stick to your guns and make your music. If you feel like you need to progress then do it your way. Don't stoop down to this level.

I can't tell you how blown away I was by your last Kiss set. That is what EDM needs right now....music.

If you dont like the music, you dont like it, no sense directing everything towards Osamu. Please respect his opinion and more so his personal preference towards spinning what he chooses to. If you guys dont like the mix, leave it at "I hate Electro".

We've always been a friendly community and I really dont want this to become a breeding ground for DJ bashing cause he's switched tastes to something that's not preferred.

i think it is a fun set, smooth, and relaxing.

i am not sure what some of you want? a kiss set is a reflection of current taste and style. you guys do not have to bash an artist just becase of one set. frankly a lot of you are the "same" people, every week complain about the same damn thing. Open your ears. Actually it's kinda fun and groovy.

chuckc...you bash the shit out of djs on here continously (granted i just roasted erick morillo pretty good, but that guy is a wanker). i dont think you appreciate the effort that goes into crafting a mix by people as talented as osamu...
