Re: Dj mag top 100 - results

yeah it looks to me like the world has some serious trance in its pants...

aside from that its great to see some new talent on there. luke fair at 85? c'mon he is way better than that.

Re: Dj mag top 100 - results

More and more cheesdicks must be voting for this. There are too many great DJs that should be much higher on the list.

Re: Dj mag top 100 - results

Re: Dj mag top 100 - results

I am just glad that tiesto is not number 1. Also nice to see a lot of new faces on the chart this yr. Way to go all the new entries. Keep up the good work. Now we just need to get trance djs out of the top 10.

#502542Post 91 of 148

Re: Dj mag top 100 - results

These results seem to be pretty accurate if you consider the world market for dance music.

Altho I will agree that ATB is quite overrated and definately shouldnt be on the top 10.....Top 20, maybe but not top 10. JZ should take that place!!

haha

this fucking poll is terrible.

i would be interested in seeing who the staff at djmag or mix mag or even RA thinks is the top 100.

they should release a poll saying who they think should be on the list and why.

much more credible then this debauchery of a poll they call the top 100 dj list.

Re: Dj mag top 100 - results

By looking at the first couple of spots I'll just assume alot of 14-15 year old trance heads got out and voted. Where are the parents to monitor their internet usage??!!?

Where the hell is Matthew Dekay? I've only seen him once, but his set blew me away ... Plus his productions are simply brilliant! I mean, c'mon. Not in the list at all? Shame ...

He's relatively new to the DJ circuit, and has just started crossing the Atlantic. I'm sure he'll be on it next year.

Re: Dj mag top 100 - results

i'm so unhappy with the results ok, so tiesto is not nr.1 anymore, but it's pvd, who plays hard-trance, still trance get's the first spot besides j.d, sasha, hernan ,deep dish and carl cox, the top10 is full of trance, not to mention the awfull spot lee buridge is on 76 :what and atb, that's one shity dj, no style, cheesy tunes, and poor dj skyls, too see him higher then carl cox, that's just a real shame to dj culture i'm happy though that oakie it's out of the top ten:D

That's a nice educated opinion... I would've also taken "plus his music blows" into consideration as well.

Re: Dj mag top 100 - results

hey, thats a well thought out response IMO

dekay is a lot better than any other dutch dj as far as I am concerned, and worthy of top 100. His productions though some may be on the rather melodic side, I think are always worth a listen, and I do own a few of them.

They should just Title this the "DJ Mag Top 100 Prog Tance Suck Off Contest"

I agree. I hope he starts to tour the states more often.

Re: Dj mag top 100 - results
Hate him or love him, you gotta give him respect. His US concerts definitely sealed the deal for another top 100 crown for him.
And THAT alone is why so many dj's that would deserve a better spot in this list don't get it. They NEVER come to America...and if they do it's for 6 dates.

88 - Chrisitan Cambas.

Way to go on that one!!!!!!!!

#502787Post 110 of 148

Re: Dj mag top 100 - results

Wow, for the umpteenth year in a row DJ mag manages to poll a billion dutch on the lamest trance DJs in the world. Definetly a few names that manage to be there near the top (Cattaneo, Digweed), but there's also a number of DJs near the bottom who were on absolute fire this year (Fair and Masiello). Suprised to see Hawtin is so high up too but perhaps that's just due to the lack of techno in my neck of the woods.

Good for Cattaneo and Martin Garcia

#502838Post 117 of 148

Re: Dj mag top 100 - results

WELL...it is the Dutch that are fucking fanatics about their trance. They all voted. They all care. I don't know about all of you, but I don't vote for this shit. It's crap. Screw #1. I like what I like. Don't make my favorite DJ's more "popular." I want that room on the dancefloor for myself.

#502846Post 118 of 148

Re: Dj mag top 100 - results
Adam Beyer #67
Not many true techno DJ's high up in the poll...oh well...guess real prog (without too much cheese in it) and techno are still too much underground to hit the brains of those 14-16 year old kiddo's....

BTW: I almost only voted for DJ's I know personally this time, and whose mixes are top notch as well IMO. Some of them will know they're in my list. Martin Garcia was the only one I did not know personally.

As for Dutch: look at fucking Dancevalley, Innercity, Shockers, Qlimax and stuff like that. Hardhouse and Trance. Brainless fucks. I still seem to utterly surpise Dutch people with my style, and the moment they hear it they love it. It's just that most youths don't care to look beyond what their friends thinks is cool...vicious circle...
