Re: Dj mag top 100 - results

No dj will top Tiesto, the gap between him and #2 is just toooooooooooo much to make up for.

Hate him or love him, you gotta give him respect. His US concerts definitely sealed the deal for another top 100 crown for him.

Those are some hot women with Tiesto. At least he has good taste in women.

Re: Dj mag top 100 - results

We can only hope that Hernan Cattaneo's poplularity has grown. He ranked 6th last year and it would be sweet to see a house dj take over the #1 spot. Lets cross our fingers. :)

Re: Dj mag top 100 - results

tiesto doesn't play trance so much anymore.... he plays a lot of tracks you guys like and talk about. just a little fyi.

granted I haven't heard a tiesto set in a few months but I've seen a tracklist or two. if we hosted a tiesto set but labeled it matthew dekay you guys would love it.

Re: Dj mag top 100 - results

Tiesto ain't my thang but there ain't no denying his popularity. Mind you some would say he's fanbase is a bunch of 14 year old trance heads but I digress.
it's what i thought when i saw his e-mix tracklist, then, i tryed to listen to it - still that euro-trance shit, nothing changed,he may call it progressive trance or whatever but it's still euro-trance, nothing nice, pure garbage

So true, however, from what I heard of his essential mixes, his mixing still needs a little work. Thumping trance beats seem to blend together than progressive melodies. Or whatever

tiestos essential mix tracklisting

Kosmos Epsilon - 'Innocent Thoughts (Stel Remix)' (Heavy Rotation) Ijojs - 'Physical Overdrive' (White Label) Hammer & Funa Bashi - 'Moments' (White Label) Deepsky Feat. First State - ' First State ' (White Label) Airbiscuit - 'Lately (Riley & Durrant Remix)' (Zenith Café) Tiesto - 'Lethal Industry (TIC Edit)' (Universal) Bart Claessen - 'Playmo' (Yakuza!)

looks shite to me

Re: Dj mag top 100 - results

there are a few good tracks there, just the mixes of said tracks scream trance!

#500531Post 28 of 148

Re: Dj mag top 100 - results

shite ... should be "shyte" .. gives it more kick and makes it sound irish
So true, however,
Im not sure that I agree with either of these posts. I think that Tiesto has established his own high end sound which should be very recognizable when compared to DeKay...Im not gonna get these two confused with one another....just an fyi.
hey bart, how do you reccomend spelling tiesto in order to make him sound less crappy?
.

t.i.e.s.t.o. is realy an anacronym .. it realy means Till I Ever Stop Tossing Off which means he is a constant wanker

had to add this for those not from the north of Engalnd .. "till" is the abreviation of "until"

Re: Dj mag top 100 - results

I guess it's the whole showman thing . America likes big and brash ,the rest of us don't . If it was just his music in your face and not the fuckwitted grin with the traveling carnival we might take him more seriously
