Was a good doc, plenty of ace club scenes, going right off at various venues across the states! Some funny moments, will definitely watch it again.
You guys who were part of it, looks like it was as good as you made it out to be!
Is there any part on there where they ask the crowd who is better between sasha and diggers?

Is it just one DVd or is there a bonus dvd also. Just curious also how long is this bad boy??
Re: Delta Heavy DVD
Whole thing is over 2 hours long, including visual mixes of some tracks, info has already been posted in this thread so i wont repeat it. There are bonus interviews as well with sasha, diggers and jimmy.
Also spotted Jon Lisle about 10 mins in stood outside the Lola bar
Re: Delta Heavy DVD
i remember pappa and seaman were at the miami show for a bit
Re: Delta Heavy DVD
Ships out on Friday this week....soooooooooo can't wait!
Re: Delta Heavy DVD
^ Unless you got express delivery it said on Sasha's site that you should recieve it on the 16th. But either way this is going to be amazing.
Re: Delta Heavy DVD
I am in Canada...didn't have the express option :(
Re: Delta Heavy DVD
i did, but didn't wanna spend $12 for shipping alone. don't have that kind of money to throw around on shipping. I'd rather throw it at some food.
Re: Delta Heavy DVD
I was just reading the beginning of this very thread I started, and I began to laugh. I found the DVD release by chance. I had given up on it... I was actually searching for something else on Amazon when I stumbled across it and immediately posted here and on the Bedrock board... So after much skepticism I'm happy to say that my copy is on it's way from the UK. My friend got it on Friday and sent it out today. I love it when I'm right.
Re: Delta Heavy DVD
This is going to be the biggest thing to come out in a long time. Now maybe we can get another sasha & digweed mix album sometime next yr. I can't wait until this comes in the mail.

Now that would be amazing....I would buy that in a heart beat!
Re: Delta Heavy DVD
Well, Well said DVD dropped through my door yesterday! Managed to watch it last night. The main part of the DVD is a documentary/diary of the 2002 US tour. Clips of tracks feature as a backdrop to the dialog but appear to be dubbed on later in production. Other features include the original visuals used on the tour. The tour starts in Miami as we all know as it was famously broadcast on Radio 1, what is striking is how empty and lacking atmosphere the Arena was. Later shows at Atlanta and others look by comparison to have been rammed and absolutely going off. There's an insight for those who don't know them, deeper into the two very different characters of Sasha and John. Footage from the tour bus and behind the scenes makes up pretty much the rest. The pair both seem to be using almost exclusively vinyl and acetates, this is only 3 years ago oh how thing have changed. Well produced and certainly worth getting hold of to watch once or twice, however whether this is long awaited nemesis that was anticipated by many? I'm sure everyone will have there own opinion.
Re: Delta Heavy DVD
sweet, thanks for the review. now i know what to expect and i'm happy about that.
Re: Delta Heavy DVD

Im so confused about the release date. On my order confirmations it states that release date for pre-order shipping begins the 16th. However, I just looked at Sasha's site (www.djsasha.com) and release date for pre-orders has been bumped to Dec 20th. I dont see anything about UK getting an ealier release date. WTF is going on? How do people have theirs already (non-promotional)?
Re: Delta Heavy DVD
thats odd i was at the miami gig and from what i remember there must have been at least 2000-3000 people there
and the atlanta gig did go off......did they show any of the stage dive moves
thanks for the info:p
somebody get this on slsk......i can't wait
Re: Delta Heavy DVD
The sad thing is that this DVD too long to come out and that unless you were there you'll never know just how twisted the music really was. I'm sure there's no way in hell they could have gotten clearance for 90% of what they actually spun.

I have no idea, man. I was just looking at the e-mail again and it clearly states it?s been shipped.
I ordered from Sasha?s site, Standard Mail and all. I mean, I?m in a peripheral country, I did thought it?d take longer...
Re: Delta Heavy DVD
and the atlanta gig did go off......did they show any of the stage dive moves
fuck yeah that place went off!!!! but to my recollection there was no stage diving. i was front and center most of the night. wonder if i can be seen losing the plot? :Who:

And THAT is probably why it's not an actual concert. Hell being that those concerts were in 02. How many of those record labels have gone out of business by now. That's one BIG clearance issue.

Yep it does show Pigweed diving of the stage but later in the tour perhaps Austin. Sasha talks about his 'new' Album, 'Airdrawndagger' this feels like a decades ago now, by comparison 'Heaven Sent' sound just as good as did 6 years ago. On the subject of tracks, I am sure they would have had clearance for many tracks actually played but would bet they didn't want to pay royalties, you can get between ?500 and ?700 GBP for a track if you get it onto a GU compilation. One interesting bit is a Miami boat party which looks like a who's who of dance music. Looking forward to other comments on this DVD particularly form anyone who actually went to any of those shows.

oooo mine should ship today...can't wait!

Re: Delta Heavy DVD
I wasn't at any of the dates and I thought it was dope. The editing was kinda wack, it seemed really thrown together, golden arm was played far too many times, and it was a little shorter than I would have hoped but all and all it was cool to watch. There are some funny bits in there as well. The interviews are good, especially jimmy van m. He definitely left me wondering where the fuck he's been the past almost 4 years. I guess I didn't realize he was the brains behind the whole thing. I'm intriqued as to what if anything he has brewing right now.
Re: Delta Heavy DVD
yeah van m is very talented

damn i can't wait should be here on tuesday
Re: Delta Heavy DVD
watched, hated it for the fact they didn't cover NYC / DC, hated it that they were interviewing bus drivers rather than putting on at least 5 - 10 minutes of the best nights they had, hated it that they had so much fucking talking about a CLUBBING tour rather than have the best music of the time playing in the foreground (as opposed to being voiced over by someones chatter),
dont think I'll be watching this again.....
