Chris (code11) still talks about the set that night! Can't wait to have a listen although it will pale in comparison to actually having been there.

Re: KISS 100 8-6-05

that was a pretty cool party. the pawn shop is a crazy place. i can't say i've ever sat in the middle of a half pipe in a plastic lawn chair outisde, while listening to digweed ever before.

#459840Post 9 of 86

Re: KISS 100 8-6-05

I was there and cant wait to hear the set again. Hands down the best set of WMC. Digweed didnt want to stop even after they turned the house lights on at 5 he played for another half hour. Hopefully he plays more of the set in the upcoming weeks on his show. With enough emails I bet he will.

#459851Post 10 of 86

^^^thats the idea.....he's gotta have the entire set

#459912Post 11 of 86

Not only that. Did you hear him say he 'was looking through his recordings'? It sounded like he had loads of them...

#459919Post 12 of 86

What a fantastic set from digweed....makes you wonder how fabric 20 was so average when this is so good.

Here is partial tracklist:

1.U 2.Phonique & Alex east-99 and a half(i:cube mix) 3.U 4.Dj hell & billie ray martin - je regrette everything 5.u 6.u 7.bahwa-the more i know(paul rogers mix) 8.u 9.u

Track 6 has the vocals from up in flames on it,but in a robotic voice?Any clues?track 5 is about 10 minutes long and is wicked (may be 2 tracks,if it is then i cant tell where he mixes them)

Re: KISS 100 8-6-05

we have prayed that this set would come out from the minute we walked out of the pawn shop madness. lets hope he airs at least a couple more hours of this truly legendary set.

hmmmmmmmmm, so for everyone that was there...does it sound as good as u all remember?? from the hype, i was expecting a bit more....

Re: KISS 100 8-6-05

The first track is awsome!... He played this at the Mayan with Luke Fair. I have a video of the actual song from when he played it at the mayan too and damn that bass line is sooooo freakin DEEP.

If anyone would like to host the video for me just so ya'll can get a feel for the actual track. Sounds so different from this recording.

File size is 4.26mb

dude this is just the beginning of what ensued. from what i remember the next four hours (assuming that this was pretty early in his set) was a shilacking of mega bombs. i sincerely collapsed from exhausion towards the end of the night. a couple sips of water and 10 minutes in that killer garden chill out area and i was back by the pillar for more. like i said before, legendary night.

.....Figures, i guess it would be to much to ask for digweed to play the part with the floor bombs??

This "early" part of the set was ok....nothing too spectacular.....

arg(z/z′) = arg(z) − arg(z′) and |z/z′| = |z|/|z′|

De Moivre?s Theorem says (cos +i sin )n = cos(n)+i sin(n). It can be proved by induction on n using the formula (cos +i sin )? (cos +i sin ) = (cos cos −sin sin )+i(cos sin +sin cos ) = cos( + ) + i sin( + =Digweed's set this week was S***!

dude this isn't a set. there's 4.5 more hours to this set. and if you get to hear more it and don't like it, then you don't like john digweed's music and you should have never opened this thread.

Re: KISS 100 8-6-05

super slick mix from luke this week too

#460119Post 34 of 86

Re: KISS 100 8-6-05
dude this isn't a set.
Amen. And as soon as people realize that his Kiss 'sets' are not 'sets' but 'mixes' of new releases, we'll eliminate about 1/2 of the posts on this board.

#460154Post 35 of 86

Guys can anyone give me clarity on the set. Here is the TL i have put together(using this board and other sources):

2.Phonique & Alexander East-99 and a half (I:Cube mix) 3. 4.DJ Hell & BRM - Je Regrette Everything (Superpitcher) 5.Soul Mekanik - 27/05/81 6. Unknown 7.Unknown 8.Tim Davison, Bajwa & Dale Anderson - The More I Know (Paul Rogers mix) 9.Abysm - Future Love 10.Trentemoller-Beta Boy 11.Unknown(Only about 50 secs of this was played though)

Now I think that after the hell track there are 2 tracks (soul mekanik and another one) - i listened again last night and i think digweed mixes track 6 in after about 4 mins of track 5.UNLESS the soul mekanik tune is about 11 minutes long - can anyone confirm?

Also track 7 has the vocals from up in flames, but in a robotic voice - a new remix?

I thought this was part of a live set?? I know there 4.5 hours left of this set...but this was also part of his set right?? I guess he has to play the average parts of his live sets to match his quality "new releseses" that he unleashes week after week on his kiss shows....quality stuff imo....lets hype digweed up some more...

kind of funny how moderators like skahound and jenks, over-analyse his shows trying to distinguish between kiss sets and mixes. The bottom line is that he plays records so Set or no set, what he played this week was S***!

...and it's really stupid asking for intelligent comments on a random kiss show, i ain't going as low as you and starting talking about some kiss mix or mixes. If you think your comments are intelligent then get a life...seriously.

Sono...

re: your comment "moderators like skahound and jenks over analyze digweed's kiss shows..."

i don't even listen to digweed you asshat.

i may have skimmed through MAYBE one of his kiss sets all year.

in fact, i think the only thing i've downloaded from MS this year is Habersham's kiss mix.

so, what are you talking about again?

Forgive me for providing a little more substance than 'Digweed's mix is S**T!'

Re: KISS 100 8-6-05

EASY NOW FELLAS......I got to admit I was dissapointed in his pick of his Live set that he dug out of his pile of sets that he has recordeded.

He even said "its been a while since i have played a live set on my show"

Come on diggers couldnt you have found a better "live set" out of that large pile than the one that u played on your show this week...I am just disapointed....wouldnt call it sh*t but it seems like he never plays any jaw dropping sets on his show anymore....Dont the fans deserve it?
