#215053Post 2 of 73

yes my missus loves house music.

#215054Post 3 of 73

My girl was into all kinds of music from the Beatles, Elvis, Alternative, hip-hop, etc...but she never really listend to house. Its not until I met her that she need a lesson in house 101. She always thought house music, or EDM, was the crap you would here on commercial radio. Then I sat her down one day and put on a Deep Dish Cd and she digged it. Gradually, I would bring to house parties and now she's into it. The icing on the cake was when I brought her to Miami for WMC and she had the time of her life.

Yup im one of the lucky ones, she loves house music. Shes not really a big prog head, shes more into the vocaly stuff she can sing along to. When we get in my car its prog all the way but when we get in her car............... its still prog all the way  I ware the trousers and dont let her tell you otherwise.

I think most females, IMO and experience are into the fluffy music with vocals at 1st (this is not a general statement, just what I have experienced) but gradually do come around when they realise there is more out than that twat from holland and Oakie. My last gf always liked EDM, but 1st told me her fave dj was Fairy Corsten. Now she is a HUGE Sasha and Digweed fan, more so than the cheez dj's. I like to think I had summing to with it. Who knows.

#215084Post 10 of 73

only when she's drunk :D

#215089Post 11 of 73

Yep, my wife digs it. Although she is more of a breakbeat fan when it comes to dance music. We have extremely similar tastes in music, so I consider myself quite lucky. :D

You beat her with a long bamboo rod until she gives in to your liking of house music.

j/k. I'm fortunate though, my girl actually likes house music, maybe even more than I do, but unfortunatetly Tiesto is her favorite DJ. On second thought where did that bamboo rod go to.

Bringing hime/her into the progressive fold.....

I hate to stick up for trance in your pants. But, if your missus or whatever does not like electronic music or house then a little trance in your pants can him/her hooked. Then, slowly you move him/her into deeper more progressive sounding stuff. Trust me, if you are desperate this method is tried and true.

#215330Post 23 of 73

She's more into Techno and Nu Skool Breaks, but she's coming around to Pregressive.

#215336Post 24 of 73

Yep. She loves the house. :Bingo:

My Mrs loves American vocal house, latin house, hard bouncy house and euphoric trance. She thinks Digweed is the most apalling radio DJ with a really monotone voice and I dread of think what she would think of tech house.

#215533Post 31 of 73

My Mrs. will never be into prog/house or whatever no matter how hard I try. :x I tried to concince her with drugs, sex and even with violence but no go so far. :( She still prefers U2, the Corrs and Alanis Morisette and this will never change. Oh well...you can?t agree on any subjects in a relationship I guess. :|

#215556Post 32 of 73

Hahaha! My missus don?t understand how I can listen to prog/house at all.

#215563Post 33 of 73

My missus loves house, and prog, and breaks, and and and 8)

#215566Post 34 of 73

Yes, but not progressive. She like Deep House

#215567Post 35 of 73

my girlfriend used to pretend to like it to keep me happy, but she doesn't even try anymore. She turns it down all the time :(

 1. doubt it :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
 2. what does the fact that you THINK you know more about this music than I do have to do with what I said about the girls here in Tampa?
#215579Post 37 of 73
Hahaha! My missus don?t understand how I can listen to prog/house at all.
Neither does mine.

It might have to do with the fact she dont like to party except fro driniking.

I wish I could get her hooked in.

#215588Post 38 of 73

soo true
Hahaha! My missus don?t understand how I can listen to prog/house at all.
mine is totally the same. she hates it when in the car with me, because i always have it on the stereo!!!

although she would listen to some downtempo and chilled stlyes.

#215680Post 39 of 73

I have to say lots of females just do get it or just dont get into it. I know there are a bunch of females on this board that really dig Prog House but as far as my female friends go they like the fluffy/cheesy/radio stuff. I make mixes for my friends and I always get the same comment from the women. I want a mix with all vocals or tracks that I can sing along too. A good example would be stuff like Ian Van Dahl  When I make Progressive mixes I never give it to them because they just say its sounds too repetitive and there are no lyrics. Anyway, thats my take on it.

#215697Post 40 of 73

Mine pretends she doesn't just to piss me off, but really she does
