I think most females, IMO and experience are into the fluffy music with vocals at 1st (this is not a general statement, just what I have experienced) but gradually do come around when they realise there is more out than that twat from holland and Oakie. My last gf always liked EDM, but 1st told me her fave dj was Fairy Corsten. Now she is a HUGE Sasha and Digweed fan, more so than the cheez dj's. I like to think I had summing to with it. Who knows.
you haven't met the right girls buddy 'cause I bet I know more about this music than you do........
1. doubt it :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
 2. what does the fact that you THINK you know more about this music than I do have to do with what I said about the girls here in Tampa?
this just really pissed me off.

THIS IS A GENERAL ASS STATEMENT. and i can back up that i probably know more about this and most other music, more so then MOST MEN.

if people could stop being so stupid in generalizing a group of people, maybe people would spend less time on this board and more time finding some lovin.

jesus. this just pissed me off. :MadNow:

how can you get mad at a statement based on MY experience of females I have met in an area in which I live? Thats why I said in my opinion and experience, and then followed it by saying I am not making a general statement. I do know alot of females that like progressive music, but also most of them started out liking trance and breaks because thats the majority of what is pushed in this area. You and the energiser are taking offense to a statement that is in no way directed at either one of you.

#215864Post 46 of 73

i'm not taking offense.. i'm saying i hate blanket statements saying that 'most girls like frilly vocal bullshit'. that's fine it's your experience... i'm sure there's loads of girls that do.. but i know more guys that love vocals more then i do. chris fortier, randall jones, sean cusick, hernan cattaneo, dj sasha. and so on and so on. i'd rather gouge my eyes out.

it just makes me angry when people start the... 'boys are smarter then girls with music' thing. because frankly its not true. at all.

that's what i was more so pissed about.

i shouldn't have taken your part and quoted it. it was just easier.. since it had two bits in there.

#215867Post 47 of 73

We "trade" sets  No need to say anithing else :)

I understand what you mean, thats why I tried to make sure I wasnt making a general statement, and making it known it was in my experience. I'm far from being that sexist to think boys are smarter than girls in anything. By the way, I was checking out your website, very nicely put together! :Bingo:

#217066Post 60 of 73

I sucked my hot toddy into the scene ... and what do you know, he has good taste! I've seen him lose his shit this year to:

digweed nick warren way out west phil k

I'll always go out more than he does, but that's ok ...

#217091Post 61 of 73

Re:: does your missus like house music

Yeah, my biotch digs house, but she?s not into Sasha or Digweed much (only old stuff), she likes the vocal stuff best.

But my hoe?s more into breakbeat and trance, really  , that?s why she only likes old Sasha and Diggerz, or the only thing I?ve seen her lose her shit to lately was Meat Katie?Bedrock Breaks CD?s.

Yeah, me and my piece of ass share similar tastes in music on everything else outside of electronic, though.

(the sexist names are just to piss her off, so don?t flame me :Naughty: )

Re: does your missus like house music
i just cant get my missus to like house music, what can i do besides trade her in for a new model? she doesn't understand beats, bars or anything bout music, suppose it's my own fault, i should have asked here at the begining!

im interested to know if your missus likes house?
she, like my other friends love trance and hip hop.... yeah, i need new friends and a new wife.

#217215Post 63 of 73

My missus likes house but she's a trancy girl :?, I don't know why?, trance sucks.

#217451Post 64 of 73
only when she's drunk :D
#217584Post 65 of 73
My Mrs. will never be into prog/house or whatever no matter how hard I try. :x I tried to concince her with drugs, sex and even with violence but no go so far. :( She still prefers U2, the Corrs and Alanis Morisette and this will never change. Oh well...you can?t agree on any subjects in a relationship I guess. :|
My Lady is the same, i took her to Bedrock to see digweed and she spent the night sitting in the Dakota bar listening to Steve Gerrard and Jon Lisie. She said she enjoyed it but wasn?t too keen on coming again.

IMO its a good thing, i can go out with my mates and get twated and then she can cook me a nice breakfast and a cuppa when i get home in the morning.

Re:: does your missus like house music

my girlfriend likes EDM, preferably breaks, tech-house, techno or d&b. She doesn't like prog very much though, say's it's too boring for her. I don't blame her though, a lot of it is boring for me too :HolyShit:

#217666Post 67 of 73

Re:: does your missus like house music

My missus loves house and garage - but the vocal, funky stuff. She would see Norman Jay every night if she could... She won't go near progressive or anything similar though. But she knows enough to hate Judge Jules!
