Re: New Pink Floyd Album - The Endless River
Love the information mate.... especially since I was referring to the digital files that we buy from beatport or iTunes or where ever else one acquires mp3's from now a days.... that end up on our iPod's/phones or hi-fi players at home. Lower bit-rate files that almost everyone settles for including myself.

So yea..... I'll still take my CD and liner notes over digital downloads...ta :)
So you are talking MP3 V Cd not digital files. :) You can actually buy dance music albums in aiff/wav, just don't do it from Beatport  Juno and trackitdown are much cheaper. iPods support the higher res formats, I'm assuming other players do as well. Through headphones in particular the sound is very different to Mp3 and it is the same bitrate as cds.

Re: New Pink Floyd Album - The Endless River

^^ Thanks for this Didi... will need to check out Juno and trackitdown.... I suppose I would rather buy aiff or wave albums when I can.

Re: New Pink Floyd Album - The Endless River

Beatport sells FLAC files I think if you pay a bit extra. They are the same as wav/aiff, so if beatport has something you want you can get high quality files there.

Re: New Pink Floyd Album - The Endless River

^^^ There is a huge difference in price ! Beatport charge extra for each track. Juno and Trackitdown charge per album. I usually get aiff because it comes with more data .

Re: New Pink Floyd Album - The Endless River
How did that get to be a gender issue???
Not necessarily a gender issue so much as a gender characteristic? Don't know for sure, but if any woman was involved in the programming of SC or MC, pretty sure there would be an endless repeat feature/button. Since there isn't on any (imagine it's a pretty easy thing to create) probably safe to say it's more of a woman-thing? I remember the first time I saw the repost button on SC, I thought it was a repeat button and was thrilled..... wrong!!

Re: New Pink Floyd Album - The Endless River

it sounds great, same audio quality as The Division Bell, same sound of the instruments, and the compositions are very similar (even the melodies). It´s great, lots of space and deepness. If you listen to the interpretation, it´s like a high quality jam. The album, as every pink floyd album, works as a full thing. The last track, the only one with lyrics, is out of this world. I´m a big Floyd´s fan, hehehehe but if you liked their latest albums, you´ll love this one.
Where did you order from? Or maybe Australia is REALLY down under... :D
I went to the Pink Floyd site. I always try to buy direct from the artist. It was also a lot cheaper than buying the CD from Amazon. I don't mind waiting for good music to arrive. :)

Australia doesn't get treated that well.

It's arrived , listening now. :)

I just love the packaging. !!! It's gorgeous. !! :D It's a little bound hardback book. So much better in every way than the crappy plastic cdcovers you get.
