wow- the news has been out for awhile and no one has bothered to create a new thread about it.

I must say there reason why I am not excited is that I have yet to hear one set that people have recommneded from him worth listening to.

did he say he was going to retire a couple of years ago?

His live set at Bedrock for Digweeds birthday in about 2000(?) is still the best dj set I've ever heard, he absolutely smashed it.Started the set with Jam & Spoon - Stella - thats good enough for me!

Apart from being complete nonsense this statement doesn't say a lot for Sasha fans if they like someone because Sasha says so. I don't know where you come from, but in the rest of the world there are plenty of avenues for other DJ's to come up through, they don't have to wait for Tenaglia to retire.

Ok I changed my mind. Tenaglia is a cunt, playing every venue in the world, every day, hogging all the recording studios, decimating internet forums with recordings of all them live shows, only playing is own records, not letting anyone else share the bill with him. Actually Joris is the only DJ they have done whose career hadn't plateaued at the time of making their Balance so the argument about Danny stealing jobs is pretty weak.

I'm kind of skeptical about any cd Danny Tenaglia puts out - I never really cared for any of his other efforts, only because he's one of those DJ's whose marathon sets can't be compressed into a couple of hours.

It's like watching a highlite reel of a chess game or poker game, seeing the major moves without the context of how the strategy was being built.

Damn..i just realize that the title of this thread says Tegnalia, wich is kinda funny couse i expect from this release exactly that - teggno sounds from Maestro TENAGLIA - I hope it will feature a lot of the bombs he dropped here at his recent gig @ Yalta :)
