Re: Overrated DJ's
Apparently he has been learning !! He played here recently and everyone who saw him absolutely raved over him,and there were quite a few people whose judgment I would believe in!!
I actualy agree with you. I saw him at SW4 for the first time since 2000 and he had improved a great deal. These days he doesnt really play what i like anymore. He was playing tracks like Free fall - Skydive, Jonesy - Independence, Underworld - Born Slippy and Way Out West - Mindcircus. I suppose you cant argue he doesnt know his records anymore, hes been playing them long enough. But really you should give that San Francisco or the Hungary sets from1999 a listen they are appalling

DJ Sneak. not to take anything away from his contributions to house music, but he has stopped me dead in my dancefloor tracks numerous times. he can rock an hour or two at a time tops, then he gets a bit stale for my liking.

Re: Overrated DJ's

Satoshi mixed some really good sets several years ago. There is a WMC radio broadcast that is amazing. And I am picky.

Re: Overrated DJ's

Satoshi is more of an experience than a set.

When you see hi live, it all makes sense.

Daft Punk.

A pair of gimps that think they're robots.

Heard that they use to mix well, prior to the whole robotic movement. But yeah a little over rated.

Re: Overrated DJ's

Beroshima is doing something similar i think..maybe with ableton for live gigs though.

Pan-Pot disappointed me with a mix I heard about 6 months ago...

Guetta, Tiesto, Avicii, and the Swedish House Mafia all over hyped...but they are al from genres I dislike

haha... this made me chuckle... one of the reason's why JD is tops for me, 5 years later and the set never sounds stale.

that's because he's a progressive dj. his music progresses. it never stales.
