Where in Denver are you getting gas?? Is this the price for the crap gas?? I have a high output japanese motor so I have to use premium. In fact it says the minium is 91 octane which is the most we have here. Sometimes I feel bad putting the minimum in there when most states have 92 or 93 octane which would be better. Any way, I'm still paying around $2.00+ a gallon.

damn that sucks.

#207505Post 6 of 63

In the Boston area it is like $2.01 could be better but has been worse so this will do for now

Well, a little bit. It's about 78 cents per litre here, but 40 minutes away it's 73 cents per litre, so something's not right.

Luckily I work at home, so I only buy gas twice a month.

#207508Post 8 of 63

from $1.80 to $2.00

#207516Post 9 of 63

Yeah it's staying pretty steady right now here in Houston, going at about $1.85 for regular, give or take about 5 cents depending on where in the city you go.

#207520Post 10 of 63

civic - in westminster, for 85 though...

Im getting a new car next month & then no more 85 :(

#207528Post 11 of 63
In the Boston area it is like $2.01 could be better but has been worse so this will do for now
Thats about the same here in the Baltimore/DC area for regular unleaded.

Ya I live in South Denver so that might be why. I sometimes wish I could use 85, but my car still gets 27-32 mpg and performs fairly well too, so I can't complain. Its much better then my Blazer that I use for winter driving, 4x4 and romping around which is a GAS HOG. It gets like 10-12 mpg.

gas is hovering between $1.92 and $1.99 in atlanta.

I have NO sympathy for those people who choose to live in the suburbs for whatever reason and drive 50+ miles to commute everyday. Most of em drive gas guzzlers, too!

#207585Post 16 of 63

that gas buddy is sweet!

#207588Post 17 of 63
that gas buddy is sweet!
It is, and it isn't. A lot of people don't know that the el-cheapo gas that a lot of these places have is VERY BAD GAS. Sure you pay a few cents per gallon less, but is it worth it if your engine has more problems in the long run? I think not. Never go to Gas-o-Mat, or any Citgo gas place (7-11)

#207590Post 18 of 63

Your all a set of lucky buggers. We in the UK pay almost ?4 a gallon. Not sure what that is in bucks but around ?7 ish i reckon.

Put that in ya pipe and smoke it. (not literaly of course)
In the Boston area it is like $2.01 could be better but has been worse so this will do for now
i saw it at $1.97 at a hess on my way to work.

#207628Post 20 of 63

80.8 cents/litter here

#207651Post 21 of 63

Most of the Americans I've seen in this thread have it pretty damn easy...I don't want to hear any complaints about $1.85/gallon.

Reno, Nevada

$2.24 Regular (87 Octane) $2.34 Plus (89 Octane) $2.44 Premium (91 Octane)

And for those of you in the UK, I don't think you have a reason to complain seeing as though to go anywhere in London is less than 20 miles. And your little cars get 40mpg. Blame Tony Blair and his inability to negotiate lower petroleum prices. Not to mention the fact that you have an incredibly efficent mass-transit system. U.S.= large land area, U.K. = tiny land area. You do the math.

#207684Post 22 of 63

still adds up if you drive enough either way...

if the US ever had to pay 5, 6, 7/gallon, prices and commerce as we know it now would practically be turned on its head...

#207716Post 23 of 63

2.10 per galon/unleaded -- i'd be taking the train more often if gas was 4-7 per gallon!!

#207730Post 24 of 63

I pay $2.57 a Gallon for 91 Octane. It SUCKS!!!!!!!

#207756Post 25 of 63
I pay $2.57 a Gallon for 91 Octane. It SUCKS!!!!!!!
I get 89 for $2.45

#207768Post 26 of 63

Here in Calgary Canada, it's about 80 cents to the liter.

Lets see with my handy Canadian to US dollars/liter to gallon calculator: it's about $2.25.

Where are the days when gas was about $1.10 per gallon when I was living in Houston five years ago.

#207811Post 27 of 63

#207994Post 30 of 63

Question though if you drvie some where far just to get gas isn't it gonna just cost you more or about the same because you would have to go way across town insted of going where you normally go?

#207996Post 31 of 63

it's been fluctuating between $2.10 and $2.50 here in Vegas. The news tonight says it could possibly drop down to $1.30 very soon.. haha.. riiiiiiight.

Come on.

I love it when Yanks complain about gas prices... :FuckOff:

You guys have no idea...

#208038Post 35 of 63

For the Americans on the board who aren't aware: in England the pump price is close on 75% duty and VAT. This has caused some big demonstrations in the past and a couple of years ago the hauliers blockaded refineries and shut down the supply of fuel to just about the whole country!

What do Americans pay in fuel tax? Do you reckon that this should be more? Would it encourage Americans to use cars less and to improve fuel efficiency and so help the environment?

#208057Post 36 of 63

$2.20 for 86 octane

#208126Post 37 of 63

?0.80ish per litre

= ?3ish per US gallon

= $5.40 / gallon

to everyone above - stop your fucking whining and try living in the real world for a change :MadNow:

#208134Post 38 of 63

Just found it the other day at $1.81/Gal Unleaded Regular in East Orlando! I threw a party!!!

#208137Post 39 of 63

Paying around 1.85-1.95 a gallon for reqular depending on what station you stop at but were supposed to start getting low hydrocarbon reformulated gas at the end of this month, that's an extra .15.
Nasty D taxes vary depending on state but in Louisiana Fed. and state taxes combined are a flat 40 cents.

#208148Post 40 of 63

$4 for 93 unleaded. It's fucking insane!
