so without having to go search a 19 page thread, was there an easy way i can rip my cds into mp3s?
I use foobar .. it works well. You could rip the tracks individually, or you can merge them. http://www.simplehelp.net/2008/11/06/how-to-use-foobar2000-to-convert-audio-files/

Can't get over how good this mix is. So many highlights, but when Serious kicks in on CD2, it's just makes my day. Imagine the head warp hearing this live....

Re: Digweed live in London 4xCD

im going to have to agree with Greg on his review. I've given the whole set a couple of listens and I think disc 1 and 2 is the highlight. it seems to lose my attention from there on out, especially the second half of disk 3 and most of disk 4, which very little melody or emotion can be found. ill give the last 2 cds a few more tries to see if its something im missing but i will def be going back to cd1 and 2 often.

#1664035Post 301 of 426

Re: Digweed live in London 4xCD

CD 1 is excellent; I've only given the other CDs one listen each so far, but none of them particularly grabbed me. But yes - CD 1 is worth the money alone

Re: Digweed live in London 4xCD

hmm wait a minute...if i remember correct one of the main complaints about Cordoba release was that it's basically just the warm-up part of his set and that Diggers is always only teasing us with his live sets couse there is no late night action in these mixes..now we have 5 hours of his live set in London and people are saying that the warm-up part (CD1) is the best part of the whole set?! i dont get it..

No? A few of us enjoy CD 2, 3, 4, etc ...

#1664069Post 304 of 426

Re: Digweed live in London 4xCD

I like them all at different times. That is the beauty of it :) Like for example today I noticed that I really like "zoulou" into "my side", and I've been trough the 3rd one at least 20 times.

#1664087Post 305 of 426

Re: Digweed live in London 4xCD

To be fair, when I wrote that I was a bit grumpy; listened to CDs 2 and 3 again today and they've grown on me... the track 6-9 stretch on CD3 is pretty sweet. Oh, and I rather like Cordoba still ;)

Edit: Good to see Hoff back in the fray!

ha ha .. true !

"Obsidian is the rock formed as a result of cooled magma, which is the parent material. "

Beautiful, Gus, beautiful. Is that a quote or your own musings?

"In this supposedly daily cognition between trees and this ultra far Ocean Addis Ababa is floating"

Re: Digweed live in London 4xCD
Addis Ababa (Amharic: አዲስ አበባ?, Addis Abäba, IPA: [adis aβəβa] ( listen), “new flower”; Oromo: Finfinne[3][4]), sometimes spelled Addis Abeba (the spelling used by the official Ethiopian Mapping Authority), is the capital city of Ethiopia. It is the largest city in Ethiopia, with a population of 3,384,569 according to the 2007 population census. This datum has been increased from the originally published 2,738,248 figure and appears possibly largely underestimated still.[2][5]
