sure hope so, its the future of cd releases imo. Can you imagine a hernan cattaneo or sasha 5 hour live cd release. but i guess its a nightmare with label licensing and such, i never did understand that

^Agreed. More live mixes for fans who couldn't be there and fans who were there. More promotional vehicles for the gigs to drive new attendants.
Don't understand all these licensing crap either. Studio mixes have to be licensed anyway.

The licensing issues seem strange, surely the exposure of being in a compilation such as this would be worth it to both a label and producer.

cd 1 was okay, very much like the kudeta set...it was a good warm up tho..
cd 2 is building up like a beast, lots of bass and kicks, really liked that, cant wait to hear 3 and 4,,,im expecting some serious stuff after i heard 2...

Ive only heard cds 1 and 2 so far but Im very impressed - some brilliant tracks and mixing here. Looking forward to the next 2 cds.
Cant really go wrong for £12 or whatever it was. And I got a signed slipcase :)
The penultimate track on CD2 is pure madness - venue must have been going nuts during this!

It was CDs 1 & 2 last night then 3 & 4 tonight - they just few by (sign of a great CD) ... as did the night.
Robophobia hit the nail on the head ... mesmerising, and definite capturing of that trademark vortex sound.

Caved. Couldn't wait for my copy to arrive in the mail and went ahead and bought the mixes off Amazon. Almost done with cd1 and it's really killer. Lovin' every moment of it... even the vocals :)

^^^lol i thought i was the only idiot who double bought, i did that with Henry Saiz last balance album. Pissed me off that if you buy the cd you dont get the trax, but if you buy the digital off beatport, you get the full length mixes and all the individual trax too.
i think that is the case for this release too??

Scott I just wanted to ask you question.. which you probably won't be able to answer, but anyway.. did you guys know that you will be relising this as an album before hand ? I am only asking because the mixing in CD1 is amazing.. we all know that John is very precise in general, but CD1 feels almost like a studio album at times. I know that most of you here probably think that its perfectly normal.. but I find it fascinating. Either way.. bravo! Cordoba had a similar feel to it as well. Nope neither John or I had any idea about doing this as a release until about a week after the event. John went back and checked out the recording of his set and then we went from there going over the logistics of how we could do it in terms of licensing, manufacturing, design, promotion etc and also if we could get it out as close as possible to the date of the party.

I grabbed the digital copy off beatport, I would prefer all the separate tracks as singles over the physical CD.
Listened to CD1 and CD2 last night, very, very good.
Look forward to hearing the others later on.

so u do get the full lenth mixes plus all the individual unmixed tracks when you order off beatport? i guess you get more bang for you buck that way. next time think i will just go digital and by pass on cds then.

Just getting to the end of CD 3, nice opener, second track went a bit flat for me and I was thinking that it was getting a bit to industrial which I don't mind, but needs to melody and a sassy groove as well, and then picked right up again. Now and hour in and another great CD.

Well its awesome that he can do that...and yes, I am sure that a lot goes in to planning the release, and I think you did a very good job overall. Its available in all possible forms, from several different places..

Funnily enough, had a word with Diggers before his set and he'd flown in after a late a.m. party in ibiza, so he wasn't refreshed as he could have been.
Yet JD is on it on it from the start with flawless mixing, fantastic programming/track selection and pulls out a marathon no compromise set of new music.
.. and my slipcase arrived (cheers Scott).
Just booked Mondo (Madrid) for next weekend as the warmup for the big one:

We had been craving for a full length live release for the longest time on these boards, and now here it is. This is just wonderful. To bad like other i am still waiting, hope its there when i get home tonite, i got tommrow off so can give it a proppa listen :)
